Michael needs to show the staff that he wants to be out there, I know injury is a concern sometimes but he's got to show determination. Pete had said that they liked what they saw from him but wanted him to do it consistently and stay healthy which at this time with him being sideline again it's keeping him away from reps he really needs and the trust factor in the FO to believe he can be an all down back potentially in the future. He can't do that if he's sidelined every 3 days or so. Like Cable said you can be elite and play like one but that doesn't matter if your not playing in the game.

I do agree that this is a bit of a big deal for Michael. He has to prove that he can be relied upon, and that includes health. He was supposed to get the mammoth share last preseason, and spent most of it banged up, if I remember correctly. You gonna rely on a guy like that as your bell cow? We've got one RB who will barely come off the field when he has back spasms (about the most debilitating thing I've encountered) and one who is kind of constantly out with naggers.
