For those bemoaning the loss of the third round pick, just remember, it took three firsts and a third to snag Trey f’n Lance. A whole lotta jobs were salvaged by that Purdy Hail Mary.

Gotta pay to play this game.

I always like having a developmental QB on the team or PS. If not Milroe then someone else. But I want Milroe to stay

Studying Milroe film with an open mind proves that he is without question an extremely talented athlete who has the skills to do anything you want a QB to do. It also proves he has been susceptable to periods of disastrous play. His time here from the beginning has shown that he knows that and is an intelligent guy who knows he has things to work on in order to be what we want him to be. I think it is fair to say the same was true for Darnold who happened to discover what was needed at just the right time this year. Getting rid of Milroe because he is in the learning phase would potentially be making the same mistake as getting rid of Darnold right now, except that Milroe posseses phyical attributes Darnold can only dream of having. Having both of them puts us in the best possible QB situation we could be in at this time.

"Seattle's gotta draft a QB to develop and sustain long term success"

Seattle drafts developmental QB.

"This guys not starting day one?! WTF. He sucks bro!"

"He's ran a handful of plays after a few weeks with the team...dude is a bust!"

Ideally, what I want to see is to see Milroe (not Lock) start a full Preseason game to show us what he's got so far.

During the regular season Milroe played Three total offensive snaps. All runs.

“He Sucks!” Is about as ignorant as you can get.

Especially when the defense SEES he is in and targets him.

Alabama boys draft positions.
Mac Jones #15 overall.
Bryce Young #1 overall.
Jalen Milroe 3rd rd #92.
I think I'll keep my $ on JM at this point.

I was surprised when we drafted Milroe, simply because I didn't expect us to draft a QB that high. I was hoping we would grab him, and the fact that we did, given that few expected us to draft a QB, meant that JS saw some exceptional talent. So I was pretty thrilled about it. The fact that he wasn't great at Alabama is meaningless. The guys at the NFL level are much better at evaluating and developing athletes than the college guys.

A THIRD?!?! 😲

If JS is able to get a third for him, then they should start building a bronze statue of him in front of Lumen right now 'cause that would be incredible.
I think they already should build that statue!

No one said that. It's impossible to talk to people who only use strawmen. Literally no one said that except you. It would be nice if people could at least pretend to operate at an adult level.
Search feature begs to differ.

I might be the only one but I hope like hell they have a package of plays for him next year. I think that was the plan this year and he had a bad pitch agaisnt TB and never saw the field again.

The guy ran a 4.37 40 at his pro day. 6'2" at 215 pounds and ran a sub 4.4 40. Let the kid run a few read options on 1st and 10, 2nd and 7 this year. It's unheard of but I wonder what a switch to RB would do for him.

Milroe will be QB #2 next year, Id be shocked if they bring back Lock as the back up again. I also think the more time he spends watching and learning the league the more he can possibly grow.

I Also feel like the pressure of having him be the next big thing is gone since Darnold showed up in such a way non of us thought he would.

Shadeur doesn't strike me as someone who would mesh with MacDonald's culture as it is in that locker room.

Can you imagine the absolute circus that would ensue if Shadeur and his entourage (with a video camera) was here? I'm sure his old man (Deion) would be pushing for his kid to have Darnold's job from day one.
Is Shedeur like Jake Paul. Nothing to see but we keep watching??
