As SeatownJay says, the Mariners BA with RISP is now all the way up to .271, which ranks 10th.
Hopefully this is a trend and not just a blip on the radar after a massive outlier performance. Though for what it's worth, the Mariners are even better, ranked 4th, in OPS with RISP.
They also rank 4th in OPS in all batting situations and have scored the 4th most runs in baseball.
But my favorite stat I woke up to this morning is this: The Mariners are now all the way up to a .294 BABIP, just a hair below the league average. It was only a month ago that the Mariners were on pace to be the worst BABIP team in Major League history.
You could sense earlier in the year that the Mariners offense was very good but getting royally screwed by extreme bad luck. Now that their luck is finally normalized, they have a top five offense in baseball.
Unfortunately, right as this is happening the Mariners pitching is starting to fall apart. Miley was never a great pitcher but he's been a disaster so far, and while Felix hasn't been Felix, his depleted version is still way better than James Paxton. The Mariners don't have much to trade away but they need to trade for starting pitching help NOW.
If they want someone who's actually good now and also a future asset, the Rays have several good pitchers on the trade block, though I'm not sure if Seattle has enough minor league ammunition to get them.
