We are currently sitting at 7-2 with 8 games to play. Obviously we can have a final record of between 7 and 15 wins. I don’t think we will win all 8 remaining games so this made me wonder if I think we are going to end up with a loss or two or three ( I’m kind of feeling like 12-13 wins myself) which games will those losses come from and how many wins do you see?

Remaining schedule…

@ Rams
@ Titans
Vikings
@ Falcons
Colts
Rams (TNF)
@ Panthers
@ 49ers

Obviously the Rams games look tough, and so does the Colts game. I think our Run defense is stout enough to take away the Colts strength and give us that game. I don’t see us losing to the Panthers, Falcons or Titans. That leaves the Vikings and 49ers. So this is the order I rank our toughest outs this season from toughest to easiest.

@ Rams Week 11
Rams Week 16
Colts Week 15
@49ers Week 18
Vikings Week 13
@ Panthers Week 17
@ Falcons Week 14
@Titans Week 12

IMO to achieve a 12-13 wins and win the division, we need to split with the rams for sure. If they sweep we are in serious trouble. Then we can lose one or two more (which could be from resting starters at the end of the year)

Here is the Rams schedule.

Seahawks
Bucaneers
@ Panthers
@ Cardinals
Lions
@ Seahawks
@ Falcons
Cardinals

The Rams are good enough to win out as well but I think they have the tougher schedule.

After this long winded post, I’ve come to the conclusion that I still want to curb stomp the Rams twice to make sure everyone knows who owns the West but one loss to the Rams isn’t a dire situation.

Maybe this will help me not overreact to much during the game tomorrow but probably not 😂

For me, we're above where I thought we'd be this season. I was hopeful going in mostly because I thought our D would keep us in most games, and then it was just a matter of seeing some offensive improvement. The offense has been the big surprise so far. Oh yeah, like I really thought that the Darnold/JSN connection would be the most lethal in the NFL. LOL

Here we are now. If we merely go 5-3 the rest of the way, we'd finish the season at 12-5. That's entering my pipe-dream territory for the Hawks this year. And it's not only realistic, it's possible we could do even a little better.

This season has been a real delightful surprise. JS and MM and his staff deserve big props for it.
