Not sure who is leader in that clubhouse, but I'd like to see some sign of the "Seahawk's grit and spirit". These games now are just as important as those in late September.

Next man up.

"We all we got. We all we need".

"True to the Blue". What does that mean? As an organization, the Mariners have not established a winning tradition.
"Blue" does not evoke memories of post-season success. Aside from the '95 season, one trip to ALCS and 0 World Series is not a heritage of success. Does it mean "prepare yourselves for another mediocre season?" " We are in fact the Same old Mariners". "Keep showing up for free shirts and bomber hats and bobbleheads, but put any thoughts of winning a World Championship out of your mind".

Don't get me wrong - I want them to succeed . Safeco Field is one of the best ballparks in the League and deserves to be decked out in red/white/blue bunting in October.

As a blueprint for success, they need look no farther than their next-door neighbor - Century Link. What message do you hear from every player after a game, what is plastered on the walls and halls? " I'm In" "The next game is the most important game of the season".

I propose a new slogan - "THIS is the year". They have had an unexpected great start. Don't squander it. The window is open now - go for it. Be relentless. Keep grinding on the pitchers, get into bullpens and create havoc. No more 7 in a row set down by a minor league pitcher w/o a whimper. And if you're worried about being mocked by the media and sportswriters over your slogan - I know of one surefire way to silence them.

"Just win, Baby".

We need Kmart and Martin to succeed.

The Mariners would play the Cubs in the world series today.

Leading the American League.

Go get the twins tonight.

They really aren't though. Losing games in late may don't mean a whole lot. Yes in the end it come back to bite them, but dropping one game of 162 is just part of the grind in baseball. Games become extremely meaningful once August rolls around. Good teams lose to bad teams all the time in baseball, it's just part of the season.

This ^ ^ ^ . You certainly can't panic at this time of the season. We are not going to win every game. Right now we are still on a 90 game pace IIRC. In some ways we're still fighting the home curse. Learn to win more at home, starting tonight, and we'll be OK.

Frankly, I get a little tired of the "OMG!" bull after every loss. Thankfully, they've won more than they lost so far, so there have been fewer of these. If the norms in baseball play out, we're going to have a 5-6 game losing streak (or longer) somewhere along the way, and I hate to think of the resultant "OMG, we're done!" posts we'll hear then.

Just enjoy the ride guys.

No one really expected the success so far but Dipoto and Servais seem to know what they are doing. Do I expect the team to win a world series? No but with Cano, Felix and Cruz we probably have a 2 year window before we need to get other elite guys which may be enough time for the GM to get the depth he needs around the team and bull pen.

The current team makes their own history just like the current Seahawks team does.

Before the holmgren era we were pretty much referencing Largent and the Afc championship team like the Mariners currently do with Griffey and the 116win or 95 season. When the current and future teams get success we'll talk about them.

Sports generally run in cycles (obviously there are exceptions) unless the ownership is bad which the M's has been which is about to change. We're due.

As for not winning at home, people will always make excuses just like they did for the hawks not winning away. A good team will find ways though e.g the SF Giants can hit and win at home despite a marine layer there

I can't remember the last time that I witnessed a bases loaded with no outs and three pop ups in a row.

Frustrating that they can't beat the worst team in baseball 2 games in a row. Frustrating that they don't play well at home. I know it's early and losing 2 to the Twinkies isn't a huge deal. But, if they don't start finding a way to win more at home, I believe that will soon be cause for concern.

What do the Mariners do with Felix? Honest question? It's been apparent over the last couple seasons that he's slowly declining. In 2014 and 2015 we saw in increase in him giving up home runs, and 2015 especially we saw him get absolutely rocked what seemed like every 3 or 4 starts. This year, his walks have spiked dramatically. And he's still getting rocked every 3-4 games. He seems to have no confidence in his command. He's not adjusting like he should. I don't even think he can be considered a top ace at this point. He's just another average starter. All season long, I've felt like the 4 and 5 spot have been the rotations best and most consistent spots in Walker and Karns. Every time Kuma and Felix start I have a hard time being optimistic. Am I wrong on anything here? Am I overreacting when I say the team should start looking into seeing what the they can net in a trade? Boy, I'm so bummed about Danny Hultzen. He could've been the future of it weren't for his freak, bum shoulder.

Definitely keep him. It would be messed up to get rid of him the year we make the playoffs(assuming we do but I'm not so sure of that honestly). Just too many games to go to know anything.

Baserunning is the Achilles heel of this M's team. They are just awful in this regard. They make too many mistakes in this part of the game. I wonder if it's due to an inexperienced manager or what but I haven't seen a team this pathetic when they have people on bases. Something needs to change in this area.

I won't be worried if we get swept by the Twins, but it will be embarrassing.

Really? I'm getting worried. This is unbelievable. No excuse for this piss poor performance on this series. Like what the he'll are these guys doing? I had a feeling this would be a trap series. It's ridiculous. We really don't have a consistent quality starting pitcher. It's bullcrap. Call up Paxton. Put Montgomery in the rotation. Do something, because the starting 5 can't do anything on a consistent basis.

Lol swept by the Minnesota Twins, what a joke and an embarrassment. Hope they're ashamed for their dreadful showing in this series because that's absolutely pathetic.

Weird that some post only when there is something to complain about, but turn into Casper when that well runs dry.
