Yes - Ms have a better chance to sweep Twins than Texas sweeps Pirates.

Rangers haven't played in National League park yet - had interleague at home. I can't wait to see Rangers put Fielder in Center field to keep his bat in lineup. Wonder if he can climb wall to snag ball heading over fence?

Solid pitching, and the M's absolutely destroyed baseballs today in Safeco.

Robbie Cano's genuine, "I'm having fun playing baseball smile" is awesome.

Guys, the M's are good.

Lots of offense tonight - I 'd rather have seen them "bank" a few of those 13 runs to give to Felix on Friday.

A look over the horizon into June - huge 6 game series coming with Texas - 3 there, 3 here. A real chance to put some distance over them. However, based on season so far, we'll probably split the series. Best I could hope for is go 4-2 - net 2 game increase on Texas. We'll have Marte back by then and I think Texas is expecting Darvish return soon.

Day off tomorrow, then the Twins for 3. Sweep the Twins!

This post is funny. I know what you mean, but I've heard it far too often - "save those runs!" The problem with that is that baseball doesn't really work that way. Every pitch is different. Every game provides different opportunities.

You can't save runs and good swings for later. Get them while they're there. Again, not a knock on you, but there's people that genuinely believe this. The M's just scored 13 runs, so they're probably only good for six or seven runs in the next series. It just doesn't work that way. With this lineup, and the changes that have been made, this team can go and score five runs whenever they want. I'm not seeing any easy outs in this lineup right now. Aoki is close to being that, but he had a nice day today. Opposing pitchers better bring their best stuff against the M's.

Pirates' current home record is 14-9. After that the Rangers face the Cleveland Indians who are 25-20. With that and Ms facing Twins and Padres next, right now almost feels like the Seahawks' upcoming 2016 schedule. I'm liking the looks of it!

Adam Lind raised his season OPS by almost 100 points last night (he's now at .670).

Over the past 14 days he's now batted .323 / .364 / .774 for an OPS of 1.138.

Hopefully Martin's hamstring injury (day to day) is as minor as Servais hopes it is. Marte and now Martin, who knew stealing 2nd base could be so bad for your health?

I was watching MLB Network yesterday and Harold Reynolds and Pedro Martinez were answering twitter questions. Someone asked them what moves the M's would need to make to win the division, and both of them said add a power-bat in the middle of the lineup. They basically said that while Cruz and Cano are really good, they need to find another bat to protect them in the lineup. Harold Reynolds said that when the post season comes around, teams will pitch around Cano and Cruz and take their chances with the rest of the lineup. The two names they brought up were Carlos Gonzalez and Ryan Braun. Both would be great adittions as we could use an everyday corner outfielder and another power bat to solidify the lineup.

I think the rest of the team is just finding their hitting groove right now but can you imagine Mark Trumbo in this line up right now.

I think the WS hopes is getting a dominant #2 pitcher for the playoffs, the rest of the staff will get us there it seems but you really want two lockdown guys... Walker and Karns have the potential to be and who knows maybe Iwakuma finds a second wind but nothing is concrete.

You get another consistently dominant pitcher and another bat this team looks unbeatable moving forward.

I literally don't think anyone ever means that seriously when they say it. It's a tongue in cheek comment when teams pile on runs in one game and can't score to save their lives another one

I'm not convinced the bullpen is championship caliber, including the closer.

Perhaps, but if the starters can control their innings and protect the bullpen, they will be more effective. One of the reasons we've won so many series lately is basically our starters have tended to go deep, 6-7 innings most nights, the hitters are taking a lot of pitches and fouling them off, tiring their starters and getting to their bullpens, and doing it in short, 3 game series to boot. 5 and 7 game series, like in the playoffs, is a bit of a different animal, but I suspect it would be more effective to add a top level starter for that rather than a reliever.

It would be nice to be a buyer rather than a seller come deadline time for a change. If we can add a bat, a starter, and maybe a reliever between now and August, we might be set for a decent run at and in the playoffs.

Infuriating loss- Ms blow golden opportunity to gain 1 full game on Texas who lost tonight to Pirates.

How can they lay an egg like that against WORST team in MLB? Twinkies starting pitcher had record of 1 - 5.

That's baseball for you. Felix just looked out of it last night, seems like he'll go 4 starts giving up 1 run and then follow that with 1 start that he'll give up 6 runs. Not sure if he just loses focus or what?

Felix was awful but the offense didn't do anything to help him either. If they would have scored 13 runs like they did the other night...his bad night would have been moot. The same old Mariners can't seem to beat a team or pitcher they are supposed to beat.

We lost a series to the Angels and they suck.

We are missing the one and two hitters in our lineup at the moment.

Settle down.

Kinda frustrating they haven't been able to give the big weekend crowds something to get excited about.
