Pesky Rangers - however, they've been playing Houston. Now they face the Angels and Pirates. I expect them to drop a few and if Mariners continue to win series, you'll see some separation.
Did I hear that the Rangers are building a new stadium?

Still has to pass city council, but it does appear they'll get a green light for a 1 billion (with a b) dollar stadium project that would be completed by 2021.

Arlington is growing like crazy..I can remember when the Six Flags there was the biggest project around...now it isn't even going to be a close third here soon.

Yeah, and their stadium isn't that old or that bad. Let's hope the Mariners don't get the same idea, especially after the whole arena deal.

I could have played shortstop a hell of a lot better than Chris Taylor tonight, good god he is terrible. I would send him to single A after tonight's performance.

When can sardinas come back up? Taylor is awful and will cost us more games. Cant hit, cant defend.

Not sure, do we have anyone to replace Aoki? He sucks too.

O'Malley wasn't doing that bad. Better than Taylor was tonight. Oh well, first game up.

This got ugly fast. :(

It's weird, when the game was 0-0 and the Mariners had outhit the A's 6 to 1, it felt like a sure loss. You just kind of knew when Seattle blew that bases loaded no outs, it was just a matter of time before the A's hit a solo dinger to capture an insurmountable lead.

Really weird that as a fan of a then 26-17 team that I would feel that way, but the Mariners are pretty "special" at home against the division right now.

Oh well. At least the pitcher that destroyed them this time is actually really really good.

Some good news, The Rangers currently have a losing record this season against non-Astros opponents. They are 6-0 against the Astros, but just 19-20 against everyone else.

It's infuriating how bad this team is at home. If they could just be average, we'd be 12 games over .500 right now and have a six or seven game lead over the Rangers.

They need to figure this Safeco Field shit out. Getting old. 8-11 at home now? Come on, M's.

Taylor's errors probably cost the Ms this game - w/o them, score might have been 1-0. A more manageable comeback.

Lou was known to have a very short leash for rookies - he preferred veterans. I checked Fielding errors for Taylor and O'Malley. Taylor has MLB 12 Errors O"Malley has 1.

On the broadcast, they said the Athletics are the worst fielding team in American League - Mariners should seek to put the ball in play . I hope the Ms try that tomorrow w/ O'Malley or Sardinas at SS.

Shoot, that was a squeaker and could easily have been another home loss. Two outs, bottom of ninth, and at least one, maybe two strikes before the homer.

I think my favorite part was the Edgar/Martin embrace after the game -- Edgar's smile said it all.

Helluva win! Years past, we would have not stood a chance. I love the move putting Leonys at leadoff. FINALLY.
