As long as Ansah is healthy, I feel pretty good about our pass rush.

Tough to say. Ziggy looks to be a big pick up after trading Clark.

I'm hoping their willingness to let Clark go means they are seeing good things from Martin and Green.

Green was a beast in preseason last year so I'm hopeful he stays healthy and continues to develop his game.

If Ziggy is healthy, we might be similar to last year. If he's not we're in trouble.

My man Poona Ford will be collapsing the pocket up the middle which will give our edge rushers plenty of opportunities.

Damn it, man, check your PMs.

The use of the possessive pronoun in relation to another person is disturbing.

But aside from that, I agree that Poona may be a sneaky secret weapon. Hes not a big numbers guy in terms of sacks, but he is disruptive in collapsing the pocket in quick fashion.

In my view there's no reason to rule out players stepping up in 2019 before training camp has even started.

The 2013 defensive line looks amazing with the benefit of hindsight but we certainly had no idea how good it was going to be at the time. Most of the hype was focused on our secondary instead. Bennett, McDaniel and Avril were cheap FA pickups while Irvin was considered a reach as a first rounder. McDonald was resigned in September.

Ansah who is a proven vet with injury problems is our best hope...Reed looked good last year ; but can he do it again ? Everybody else are just players with some potential . IMO Clark's 13 sacks will be difficult to replace with the personnel the Hawks have. The run defense is another concern . The LB crew ; who fortunately are very good will have to take up slack for the entire defense . IMO ... :snack:

McDpnald was probably the only surprise.

Everyone knew that the depth and rotation at DE was freaking amazing and that it was robbery to get Cliff and Mike for what we did.

The pass rush was pretty much two guys. I suspect they are hoping to spread that out more and be less predictable.

I think I'd rather have 4-5 sack guys than 1-20 sack guy.

After the Reed suspension the team may need more than unicorns.

He was my adopt-a-rookie last year. This year it's Ursua. I like to choose from among the late picks and UDFAs because it's more challenging to find a keeper. So that sort of explains the use of the possessive.

That's a lot better than other options.

Loved the Poona pickup. He was one of my favorite players in that draft class.

This year mine is Blaire. Dude was a missile. Was watching the UW-Utah games for another player, and Blaire just kept leaping off the screen.
