No, to me the guy's a puke pile, and why would I, or anyone else for that matter, EVER let him get to me/them.
I listened to his shit for about a minute and a half, and then couldn't listen to his voice (like chalk scratching on the blackboard) any longer

I love the mornign take or whatever it's called. It's nice to have a forum where people can have extended dialog on sport's subjects. This is one reason I don't really like Sportcenter, it's just highlights, stuff we can find on youtube...well, I guess technically you can find Skip and Steven on youtube too ,lol.

Regarding what they say, I think everyone knows and understands the shtick. Steven typically says what he actually believes with a little bit of the douche to be cool repartee. Bayless is a troll moved from Internet boards to ESPN. Basically he is extra extra extra careful to always be politically correct since he is an old white guy, most likely with some guilt issues. But on sport's subjects he likes to take the other side of the obvious truth, he reminds me of a great friend actually. A friend of mine was the same, always attempting to take the other side of the obvious just to make a silly point. One day a few of my friends played a trick on him, saying things like dude, I just HATE walking in the rain when you get soaking wet, because we knew he would say: "I don't know man, I love walking in the rain to get soaking wet. Or I hate when i get a parking ticket, to which he would say, "I don't know man, sometimes its coo to get a ticket. Skip is the same in this respect, without the interesting character of my friend. Just imagine, would he have a show if he told the truth? A boring dude with no character pretending he is young and hip? Off the air in aday.

First Take was AWESOME when it was called Cold Pizza.


The "First Take" segment was called 1st and Ten, and they would debate ten topics over the course of the show, I think they broke it down 5 at the beginning, and 5 at the end. The debates were actually good, and made for a decent watch. I don't know where they got Bayliss from, but he ruined a good thing.


For the rest of the show, they brought in all kinds of athletes, coaches, celebrities, etc to break down plays, teams, and just shoot the shit.


It was far more interesting and superior to the crap it evolved into. Think of it as Sportscenter mixed with an NFL Play 60 day for adults.

He's right about Flacco a more overpaid league average quarterback would be hard to find. Just check out tonight's game. With the schedule Denver has 15-1 isn't ridiculous to envision.
