I just re-watched the final drive that burned 8 minutes of the 10 minutes remaining in the game. Every player did everything exactly right to keep the clock running. I don't care for Grubb, but he and his staff did an extraordinary job getting the players focused when it mattered. I haven't seen a Seahawks team do that for a long time.

Absolutely, and as much as Grubb gets criticized for the running game issues, when the team needed a game-closing drive, Grubb's offense (and Geno) delivered!

They did a better job of executing on that final drive, finally being able to get a few yards on the ground, even when the Cardinals knew we were running the ball.

I believe Grubb was a horrible hire, only hired because he is a personal friend of JS. I also don't believe he'll ever become a quality NFL OC. That said, I won't hesitate to give him props when he is clearly doing something very well.

The running game came on at the end. The criticism of grubb is more about what is our identity on offense. No one seems to know and it seems to change week to week

I haven't seen any reason to criticize Grubb. I don't find myself questioning the playcalls. Players seem to know their assignments and situation.

The offensive issues are mostly because of the line. They are inconsistent. Plays are getting blown up immediately, passes are getting batted down, and when Geno gets rattled he likes to throw interceptions. We don't have a good enough QB to mitigate a bad offensive line. That isn't on the coordinator.

You could argue that we should call plays that don't rely on the offensive line, but we already do that and we can't just always call quick throws to the sidelines or running plays. You gotta make attempts downfield. The line has shown that at time they can actually generate a really nice pocket.

My favorite play of the last drove was Geno's audible to the run to Charbs on 3rd and 4. It was a perfect call. Geno was as pumped on that play than ive seen in him any other time.

I do think the switch to Charbs on more downs is to see if he cant just get to the hole faster without trying to look for the 'bounce out' homerun.

I still wish he would just develop the rush attack more. Its all still a bit too telegraphed.

But the increase in under center plays and addition of a few more wrinkles this past game gives some hope.

GENO clearly understand's Grubb's offense very well. Even the announcers were describing how he moved guys around, changed protections or audibled to a different play based on what the defense showed, and put guys in good positions; also how he knew where the rush would come from, and chose not to send blockers, but to make the play before the rush could get there. Now if Geno can just stop throwing bad, horribly-timed picks, we'll really have something. OK so the pick 6 vs the Rams was an OL protection failure, Geno's arm hit on the play.
