He is definitely maximizing his earning potential. As long as it doesnt affect the team in a negative way (which I don't think it does) - more power to him!

He's a marketing machine. He's going to get paid his worth AND some simply because of perceived valued based on media hype. I don't see how we will be able to keep him once his rookie contract is up unless we tag him.

Gotta hand it to the guy, he's articulate and smart. With tremendous athleticism and a Stanford degree, the guy has an extremely bright future on and off the field. I expect him to be on ESPN or NFL Network when he decides to call it quits on the GridIron.

And not to mention Richard's got the coolest mom on the team, that hangs out and parties with the fans and drives a decked out seahawks truck.

Well you never know, there's always a way.

We got Sherm locked up two more years.

By then Clem's and Cliff Avril's contracts are over. That's 18.9 mil right there.

And Mebane, Rice, Lynch, and Miller will be on the last year of theirs. Tons of money could be moved around.

"Sherman says his verbose ways are all part of a plan. 'It’s part of a greater scheme to get some eyes, to grow the market, to grow Seattle,' he says. 'Now people are paying attention, and they’ll probably be disappointed this year because I will be a lot more reserved.'

Noooooooooooo, lol this is probably all for the better though

I also remember Kam saying something about talking to the guys (Earl, Brandon and Sherm) this off season about staying together as a unit in Seattle and not jumping to the highest bidder at contract time, IIRC.

Well deserved. My dude is the #1 CB in the league. Revis can try to regain that spot, but sitting the bench due to injury at his age means he is no longer #1. Sherman talks that shit and walks that shit.
