I just bought the digital issue on the Play Store and read the Sherman article. It's like 20 pages long, and filled with great stuff about the man himself, and a time he pissed off Pete Carroll before he was a Seahawk, lol. I recommend everybody buy this right now; it's totally worth it, IMO.

Note to self: Make a doctors appointment.

Does SI still feature 4 or 5 stand out athletes from the high school ranks nationwide on like the 2nd to last page of their magazine?

How much does the digital version cost and can you buy just the one issue? I don't want a subscription to SI.

It's about $5, and you can just buy the one issue.

I looked around a few stores here in Colorado and couldn't find any SI magazines (at least that weren't from last week). So I just went that same path.

They were just putting them on the stands Thursday. I'm guessing they will be everywhere this weekend.

On the Play Store, (which you use if you have an Android device) each magazine has a Subscribe button, and a Buy button; the Buy button is for a specific issue. The other one...Well, it's obvious. ;)

Mine just arrived in the mailbox last night! Needless to say, it's not going in the waiting room.

Open to the article and there is a pic of Sherm fishing and admiring his catch...

... a rubber clown fish.

Admiring? His facial expression looks like "Wtf?" to me. Either way, I love that article. :) I'm handing my tablet around to coworkers to read it today, haha.

Maybe "admiring" wasn't a good word.

Good article. Just read it at lunch. I didn't realize Sherman was instrumental in Baldwin being given a chance in Seattle. Was that talked about here before?

I went and looked and the Android app has very bad reviews so I decided to skip it and will look for the magazine when I'm at the store tomorrow.

The Play Magazines/Play Books apps both average about 3.5 stars. I remember Play Books got a bunch of 1-star reviews early on because Google releases most things as betas, then improves them quickly, lol. I can't compare magazine readers, but the Play Books app is hands-down superior to the Kindle app.

hmmm .... maybe I should try it and see. It would be nice to be able to read it on my tablet.
