Man Colorado is dirty AF. They've been getting away with stuff all series, but that hit on McCann was dirty and dangerous. I can't believe they took it down to a minor penalty. Pathetic.
Should have been a 5 minute major followed by suspension tomorrow.
Likely get a small fine and dirty look from the commish.

Great win. Makar needs to eat a Kraken elbow in one of the next 2 games if he isn’t suspended. Play dirty hockey, except dirty hockey in return.

Avalanche fan here. The Kraken are actually pretty damn good this year, despite being a wild card they're playing like a division winner. I'm not a huge fan of anything seattle since superbowl 48 and their fans. I'm sure some people from the Mane (rip) came over here to talk trash and ended up looking pretty stupid though. But this series has been good. I dont know why people thought Colorado would bulldoze Seattle since they match up well against us. Winning and defending a Championship is hard. every team the following year wants to get a piece of you. I wouldn't be surprised of Seattle ends up going to the Stanley cup. But in a 7 game series the better team always wins. With the way the avs are playing I don't see them wining this series. Kraken always score first.

Unlike other team sports, in Hockey a high-powered offense can destroy an elite defense. the Avs lit up vasile7skiy in game 2 last year. But now we dont have those offensive weapons anymore. And the team cant just rely on Mackinnon to win games all the time. Colorado is doing a good job at putting themselves in holes, even if they crawl out of it for a little bit.

OMG. I can't even believe what I just saw last night. And that game winner was right below where we were sitting. We absolutely lost our sh**, what a great night and a great memory. Playoff hockey, wow. Makes Baseball look like tennis.
Also, what do you guys think about that hit by Makar? Does is warrant a suspension. That puck was literally IN THE STANDS when he blasted him and his face in to the board.
Later on, a goal was called back. I did hear from friends that the whistle had blown. Couldn't hear whistles at the game of course.

Nice to finally see and Avs fan with some class. Colorado is an incredible team, very impressive. I'm surprised we are at 2-2, but this could def. go 7.
My initial prediction was Avs in 6.

Solid ^

Soulfishhawk likes Jerhawk, much more if he goes 3rd person. Make it happen
Jerhawk will need to check his local listings to see when and what channel his favorite NHL team will be playing next.

Jerhawk grew up watching the Spokane Chiefs minor league team here, but tickets got to be too expensive. Rod Stewart's son played on the team as well as Tyler Johnson. Jerhawk went to high school with Tyler Johnson. He's a good guy.

Go Kraken!

The Kraken are 2-0-1 against Colorado in the regular season and I’m surprised a little bit that the Avs are still in this series. It’s like they spent so much of their energy and effort to win the central division, and now they are out of gas. I didn’t want Colorado to face Seattle in the first round but I didn’t want Colorado to face the Wild either..

Makar is kinda weird. On one hand he talked a ref out of a power play because Makar tripped on his own but then he does something like this. McCaan was unprepared for the hit and Makar claims he thought mccaan had the puck.

I won’t play mental
Gymnastics on this one. I do know hockey is an intense and frustrating sport for players. I’ve been told by one guy who played both football and hockey that hockey is way more frustrating and physical and it’s easy to get sick of someone’s **** in hockey real fast and just level them. I think Makar lost it and made a bad move.

I think player safety and the reffing has been pretty inconsistent also

The NHL might have saved him. His post game interview was going to infuriate the Kraken, he was smirking and holding back a laugh when asked about it. The thing about hockey… it may not be this series but he is going to get what he has coming.

Hockey isnt for the light hearted. Theres been players who have done worse things and got away with it completely. There is a strategy of attrition in the post season. I saw the Kings do it the Avs 9 years ago. I've also noticed hockey players are really starting to sell their injuries.

Well, The Kraken had 51 hits last night. Most by either team in any game this series. Keep it up. Avs have ALL the pressure on them. They are just pissed off because this "expansion team" as their fans like to say are not intimidated one bit.

The avs werent an expansion team but the nordiques relocated and we won the Stanley Cup in our first year. The Golden knights made it to the Stanley Cup their first year but didnt win it.

I'm a more realistic avs fan. There are a lot of emotional gen z fans on the kraken and avalanche subreddits who cant handle any kindof discussion or criticism about their team.

The avs have all the pressure on them but we arent the same team as last year. We lost kadri and andre Burikovsky in the off season and we've been without landeskog (our team captain) the whole year. In addition, we wont have Val Nucheskin for the rest of this series if not the whole postseason. Our chances of repeating get smaller and smaller. It doesnt help that we are also facing the kraken, which during the regular season was 2-0-1 against the Avs. If I was a betting man i would place money on Kraken winning the series.

My dad lived out in Littleton for awhile. He was there when they won 2 cups, and also when the Bronco's won a SB with Manning and the Rockies went to the World Series. Love that area of the world. So beautiful.
