I don’t like the 17 game season

The Chiefs became the first time in history to play the game on six different days of the week. The Wednesday is complete BS. So much for the players getting time to heal their body’s from the last game.

I'm beginning to think that the two byes will return after they go to 18 games. Here's the thing though the league is only motivated by $, and eliminating the bye would allow for two more games, 'Cha ching'. I can hear Jerrah in the owners room now.

Of course I'm disappointed the team missed the playoffs with their record but they let some very winnable games slip away especially those at home. This painful situation will allow for a tougher team next year.

To each his/her own. I'm all for more games that actually count.

The additional preseason game means less wear and tear on the bodies of the starters.

It's true. But still, missing with 10 wins would suck. Very few teams do

OTOH, we've also made the playoffs (and won a post-season game!) with a 7-9 record. Maybe the Football Gods are making up for that?

I don't see why the Hawks wont put in their B & C players as well...I guarantee MacDonald is going to be cleaning house and getting more of his guys in and Pete's guys out. Couldn't hurt for these guys audition for other teams...

Yeah I kinda agree there’s things like the short preseason and that the records are easier to beat, I also kinda like symmetry of 8 home and 8 away

The preseason 4 games was a better test for preparation 4 games that count. 10 wins is a good thing. We left some wins on the feild. By my count at least 3. Turnovers. Qb....

Season didn't need to be longer, but I do like that it eliminated that 4th preseason game.

Records were broken when they went from 14 games to 16 also...and I believe they will eventually go to 18 games, if Goodell gets his way.
They were pushing for it when they added the 17th game.

yeah the records part is weird but that’s just sports. I think the symmetry part kinda bugs me the most

When I watch the delayed replay of tonight's game. It will be, 10 separate week 17 games viewed.

There can be too much Football and, as with Soccer, there comes a point when the experts have nothing more to talk about.

Goodell is just a meat shield for the owners. That's why he gets paid so much. It works. Fans direct all their rage at him.

Missing the playoffs with 10 wins although not great it is also the first time there will be a 14-2 wild card team. This season has had its up and downs and as I said before the Giants loss was inexcusable, still wouldn't have guaranteed a playoff spot. IMO we had a good season, not great, and we should be better next year. The defense over the last half of the season really came on and now our coaching staff knows what they have in their players. I expect a full off season of changes up and down the team and staff possibly, i am excited for the future and am looking to be a problem for all the teams we face next year.

No doubt. 14 win team likely playing a road game. 10 win team missing the playoffs. It's a trip.
One year the Pats went 11-5 and missed the playoffs. 10 Wins is damn solid vs. pre-season predictions for many, including myself.
Nothing to shake a stick at for sure. Let's beat the crap out of these guys on Sunday.
