This week the Seahawks leapfrogged the Arizona Cardinals in DVOA, and are only 0.3% behind Carolina, who is #1 in the NFC in DVOA. Seattle is currently 5th overall, as the top 3 DVOA teams are all in the AFC.

Seattle also plays a very easy schedule in their remaining games. The Vikings game next week could be the toughest game left (if AZ clinches and rests starters in week 17). In between those games, Seattle plays three opponents (two at home) with a combined record of 10-23. It seems fairly plausible that Seattle could actually finish #1 in DVOA in the NFC at the end of the season, even if it does so as a wildcard team.
