Yeah he lost us this game.

His lack of awareness and outright refusal to even look at DK in certain situations was unacceptable.

The AZ game was his loss too. His decision making is absurd. The first INT was possibly his worst decision of his career. Russ sliding in bounds is another WTF is he doing moment.

But lets not leave Pete out of this. Not going on 4th was absurd. His first challenge was questionable at best. The time management here at the end is terrible. Refusal to go to the quick passing game remains a mystery. I hate being so negative but this has been 4 of the hardest weeks of football ever for me. Going 5-0 to this pathetic 1-3 recent spell is just plain hard to accept. The team is 180 from their start, with Wilson being the most inexplicable decline. No idea where he is mentally but it's not on the game.

On the field, think it's mainly that he has no run support. All those hits and sacks are getting to his head. He played tentatively today, holding the ball way too long, and making bad decisions.

Second, there's more game film now and defenses generally get better as the season goes along. Teams know how to slow this attack now. They know we don't have a running game at the moment.

Off the field, his focus isn't 100% on football. He's doing weekly podcasts, interviewing sports legends about "greatness" - obsessed with the idea, but meanwhile doing the exact opposite in these past two games. He's opening up schools. He's trying to trademark "Let Russ Cook"

He's trying to do too much in my opinion.

The opposition has already figured Russ out and mostly this team. Just blitz the QB until he gets panicked and throws an int or fumbles the ball or doesn't get it to a receiver.

He is not doing much different he has always been a risk taker 90 percent of the time it does not hurt the team. Law of averages is catching up however the first pick was the second worst I ever saw him throw. He will bounce back i am sure. Why DK was not thrown to more is beyond me.

Agreed, I would also add to that.....some of the route running, coaching and play calling should be adjusted sooner to combat heavy pressure as well. No more hiking the ball at the same time every play, Russ needs to throw the ball away better instead of taking sacks, also when there’s a fumble and the ball is on the ground in front of you just jump on the damn ball, no need to get fancy and try to pick it up and run with it, that turn over was on him it was right there in his hands.

Carroll not Wilson , is and was the problem . Carroll & Co have failed to build a team around Wilson . IMO

I think a lot of this is our offenses philosophy with the absence of a defense. We've slowly switched back to long developing routes, and teams are just blitzing us with no adjustment. The offensive line is having to hold plays for a long time in order to have things come open. Teams are literally just lining up and blitzing us, and we're just continuing the status quo. Russ definitely had a bad game but we have not been helping him.

At this point I'm wondering what Pete is even good for.

exactly and in the meantime Wilson is getting beat the hell up

He will improve as will this team when we get healthy. This is a guy who goes into the facility at 3 AM to watch tape. He's going to be better.
