Russ looking kind of out of shape? Should we be concerned?

Anyone who follows him on insta gram look at (what is currently) his second pic, where he is throwing football and you can see him from behind. Looks like he has quite the love handles.

Granted it is the middle of summer, the season starts in less than 2 months and I’ve never seen russ so seemingly out of shape.

Looks like his extended honeymoon did him no favors.

Most QB's look out of shape. Russ has looked this way almost every off season aside from one where he ended up looking like the Hulk. Having a little fat is seen as a protective measure for QBs. Nothing to see here folks, move along.

Last year he spent the whole season looking a bit chubby, nothing to worry about.

Speaking from my 75 years of personal experience, we all trend toward gaining a little weight or at the very least, "weight re-distribution" as we age. When I played back in the leather helmet days (almost) I was a 6-1/240-lb FB/MLB with a 32" waist, now I've shrunk to 6-0 but with a 38" waist at the exact same weight. Nature can be cruel that way as we age. RW is in his PRIME, right now and will be for several years or more, IMO. Go Hawks.
