I don’t care who we play. But I want the niners. I feel like we already broke the rams and they’re dead. The 49ers think they hung with us and they’re are not fully crushed yet so I want them to get there hopes up sky high and then we can eat their souls. Just like the last time they tried to get in our way and Michael Crabtree got punked and the 49ers imploded and had to move on from jim

"You have to beat the best."

The hell you do. If our championship path ends up being Panthers-Bears-Steelers, I will be apologizing to no more than zero people. When Rams fans blabber on incoherently about an "asterisk", I'll point out that maybe they shouldn't have lost to an 8-9 NFC South team twice, while drinking their tears out of the Lombardi. Or licking them off the Lombardi. I forget if the Lombardi is one of those trophies that can hold liquids.

BOTH can be true. And are true. If we play the Pack or Niners in the divisional? Cool. Would rather face the Rams (IF they make it) in the NFC Championship game. But.......this is the playoffs. If you can't beat who is front of you, then you're not a SB contender.

But like Rat, I wouldn't apologize or downplay a title, not even 1 percent. That's for other people who want it to look a certain way.
Winning NEVER has to look pretty. Just win the whole damn thing.

You have to beat the teams you are scheduled to play. 🤷‍♂️

Green bay! It's just feels like the playoffs going against them in the playoffs, it feels like there is something on the line.

We want the ball and we are going to score...this time!

Exactly. The Lombardi is what matters, not how you get there

With the way NFL playoff reseeding works is unclear unclear who our divisional opponent will be.

Seattle will play whoever the lowest remaining seed is after this weekend. All 3 NFC Wild Card games are close on paper, so it's very hard to predict who we will play next.

We know for a fact that if GB beats Chicago in Chicago (more or less a coin flip, according to Vegas) we are guaranteed to face them. I think other than playing the Panthers this is probably our best option.

If all the Divisional winners were to win (very unlikely considering the Panthers are 10.5 point underdogs to the Rams), then we would get the Panthers which I would imagine would be our ultimate dream. But in the more likely scenario that the other two divisional winners (Bears and Eagles) win while the Panthers lose, then the Rams will be the lowest seed left and we will play them next round. This is worst case scenario for me.

The other scenario is that the 49ers win in Philly and the Bears beat the Packers. Then we would play the Whiners no matter what, regardless of what LA does. This is preferable to playing the Rams to me, but I like it less than the other two possibilities of facing the Panthers or Packers.

So in conclusion we have four possible opponents next round: Panthers (4) , Rams (5), Whiners (6) , Packers (7).

The Panthers would be my preferred opponent but I think it's unlikely all the chips fall that way.

So I think we should just hope for the simplest route of avoiding the rams: GB wins and it means we get them no matter what and don't have to sweat about potentially playing the Rams until the last possible moment. In a dream world the Rams lose to the Panthers and we don't even have to worry about them, but I don't think it's likely.

Give the Rams as many chances to lose as possible before we face them, if you ask me. Yes I know to be the best we need to beat the best, but there are certainly preferable routes and as the #1 seed we have earned it. Playing the Rams in the Divisional is not, to me, optimal.

Who do you guys want next?
The Rams

I think it's more our defense.

AND SPECIAL TEAMS.
What struck me most about that wildcard game was how ineffective Stafford was throwing outside the numbers; seemed the DBs played really tight man to man. Compared to easy passes down the seams and the middle of the field

Rams could definitely lose to Eagles. And think we match up better with Eagles anyway. Of course, need to beat GB first unless Bears pull off the unlikely comeback here.
