Sam will improve on this year and Shaheed will produce more on offense. Expect to be in the hunt for a championship.

If we win the SB every 12 years, I'll be just fine.

Expecting the SB again is a bit much. Honestly, as long as the Rams never win it - I am good. As long as we play great football most of the year, make the playoffs, and have good playoff games?
Not sure it would make sense to complain about much.

I would love to see another stifling defense again but it looks like we might lose some depth.

Still, our offense was a buzzsaw until Horton got hurt...so we might be much more dangerous this next season.

A lot to be thankful for. But for the next 2 years almost any outcome would be acceptable because we already won it all again.

New OC, Walker status unknown, Egos, rest of the league coming for us, injuries unkown,,,,etc.

Repeating is going to be tough.

To be clear, the following is not my expectation, but rather it's my ultimate 'pie in the sky' dream for the team and all the 12s. As they say... DREAM BIG!!

The dream... the Hawks return to the Superbowl in each of the last four years of this decade... and we win at least three more Lombardis in those four games... making us 3-1 in those appearances... making us 4-1 for the decade... thereby forever after, being known as the NFL Dynasty Team of the 2020s, supplanting the Kansas City Chiefs who have already made four appearances in the 1st half of this decade... going 2-2.

Were that to happen, the Hawks will have been to eight (8) Superbowls in their history... and we would have an overall SB record of 5-3, joining the ranks of the Stealers, the Whiners and the Cowgirls as the only teams with eight SB appearances... 2nd most all-time.

Guaranteed at least 12-15 wins. It’ll be interesting to see what happens with Maxx Crosby. A few people seem to think we’re low key going after him

Last season I thought we were a year away, so if we repeat I’d say we were right on schedule.

We will be returning nearly our entire defense so I expect us to have opponent offenses in a stranglehold from week one without any install hiccups like TB last year.

The big question (like last year) is the offense. We will have a honeymoon (and hiccups) while the league figures us out, but the proof will be if the new coordinator can adapt once defenses start taking things that worked before away. We’ve humble players on offense who will do what’s asked of them, we just need the OC to be competent.
So much this.

Here and there
It's often difficult for a team to repeat a Championship, although, not impossible. Strangely for me though, I want to win again this next season just for a better Superbowl logo patch, I know, I know, weird reason right....I refused to buy any Superbowl items with this last seasons patch on it...may not be justified, but it's how I felt....anyways, with some pieces possibly missing, i.e. Walker and some members of defense getting a bit older, there will always be complications involved....BUT if Darnold can continue to make strides and continue from where he left off..I like our chances. Don't mind me today, I haven't had my morning caffeine yet.

I wanted to do a thread that’s a little different because I’m honestly not fully sure it’s sunk in yet that we won the Super Bowl. Going into this year, I really didn’t have high hopes, and the fact that we won the whole thing still feels like I might be in shock. I felt like I was always waiting for the other shoe to drop and thinking, “Well, better luck next year.”

So now that we are the champs, I want to know—what are your feelings and expectations for next year?

I’ll go first. My expectation is to just make it back to the playoffs and play at a high level. I think we got very lucky not having to play the Bills, Chiefs, or Ravens in the Super Bowl. I think the Rams will take a step back next year, as I don’t see Stafford playing that well again. The 49ers—well, they’re always injured, and Shanahan can’t win big games, so I’m not too worried. I forget who the fourth team in the division is 😉.

It’s going to be hard for this team to repeat and win the whole thing again. (At least that’s how I feel.)
Who is there that can challenge?
People be thinkin' that with a whole season of game tape to study, the competition will get tougher, and to some degree that is true, but many aren't taking a lot of factors into account, things like O-line getting better as the season wore on and now are working on the continuity.
Sam Darnold had shown a marked improvement in decision making from stem to stern, so he and his Receivers have developed more of a mind melding (especially he and JSN).
So yeah, the competition will get better, but so will Mike Macdonald's Seahawks...."To be The Best, You Have to BEAT The BEST"

Macdonald's ear can't even handle a little Gatorade and people are expecting him to handle success? These are the highlights of my expectations for next season:

-Sam Darnold: PUP list. During a drinking game in the offseason, his buddies perform a satanic ritual that requires him to answer a single question without praising his team. Darnold pauses, stutters, and hiccups before entering a catatonic state. He'll remain in a psych ward hereafter.
-Mike Macdonald: Hospitalized. His kid gets an A on a spelling test and it's just too much success for his success allergic biology to handle. Several dozen fractures. He's laid up the entire season in a full body cast.
-JSN: Arrested for prostituting himself on the street for cash. He's seen easily evading arrest until the officer's bet him several grand he can't catch a taser. The previously conscious receiver does so with one hand, outrunning vehicles in literal traffic. Despite the confides of his cell, he is still not pressed.
-Ernest Jones: Suspended indefinitely due to failure to attend practices, meetings, and games. On an unrelated note, reports of verbal altercations with a large black man with "crazy hair" from chronically online individuals grow drastically. They report him visiting them at their homes and having a couple choice words before leaving. Over the span of several months of these altercations, the national GPA average rises drastically and Tiktok goes bankrupt.
-Devon Witherspoon: Doesn't play a single game. Repurposed as a ballistic missile by the military. Never sees use. The threat is enough.

Overall, we see the single worst drop-off after a Superbowl win in the history of the NFL, but we we still beat the Rams.
