Hawks had to beat Brees and Rodgers in 13 and 14. Bring on Stafford, Purdy, whoever. Our defense is legit.

Yep. It took terrible execution by the Rams defense, a missed field goal, and the luckiest 2-point conversion review in NFL history to get us the W there. And now they've got Davante Adams back.
And it took 4 turnovers and a missed FG by the Hawks for them to barely win game 1. It happens. A W is a W. With a weeks rest and the home crowd the team will be ready to go. Wanna be the best then beat the best. Carolina almost did. You think the Darkside is scared to do it again? I personally think they'd love NOTHING more than a chance to send the Rams on vacation.

Why are we all wanting "easy"? The best way for us to get to the SB is by beating the Rams and then beating the defending champion Eagles to get there. Wouldn't that put a real punctuation mark on our season in the NFC?

Yes but beating the packers and the eagles would still get us to the same super bowl.

I'm going to say it will be the Rams (not the niners) because f**k everything, that's why.

Unf*ckingbelievable how BOTH the Panthers *AND* the Packers CHOKED both their games away like they did. 🤬

I believe we can still beat the Rams but we were so close to having just a bit EASIER time to at least get to the NFC Championship game.

Now what we have here is a goddamn toss-up game depending on which Sam Darnold shows up and whether the Running game dominates like it did against the Niners last week or not.

sigh....Why can't Stafford just F**k off and retire already?? He already got his f**king ring.

Lol I can appreciate the passion brother. I had the same reaction when Greenbay shit the bed. You know what made me calm down?

Knowing our team is going to be rested. Knowing our defense is going to be rested.

We are going to come in locked in and ready. We have already beaten the Rams. Our defense made lunch of the 49ers. Our walk to the Superbowl was destined to cross paths with either of those teams.

It's just our time to go through them again.

Go Hawks!

It would but anything can happen in a Toss-up game (which this is).

Against either the Packers or the Kittens, we would be the team that has the overall edge.

Not against the stupid Lambs, though.

Bah.

Many a fan are going to be downing a ton of antacids in this upcoming game. That's for sure.

Yeah, but looking back there would be no narrative diminishing what we accomplished. We took on the best in the NFC to get there.

I'm not afraid of facing the Rams but I am just pissed at how these two games ended up.

(BTW, Hope the Mods forgive my F-word profanity but I think it's warranted in this case)
That’s the biggest thing imo. We’re beating whoever we play.

The part that sucks is both Carolina and GB had it.

We’re beating whoever we play though…

Since when do we care about Narratives?

I want to win a Superbowl no matter what it takes and either one of those games (had they turned out differently) would've helped.

Sigh....No use whining anyway.

It's over and done with.

Now the finger-nail biting, and teeth-gnashing begins. Oh Joy.

At least the niners fans now know if they win tomorrow, which they wont, theyre getting our defense again.

If SF beats the eagles in a huge upset, I would be interested to see if the rams blow out the bears.

I want to beat the best. I grew up a Bear fan. That great 85 Bear team won the SB as one of the the greatest, perhaps greatest team ever. But some fans still remember that the NE Pats upset the Dolphins to make it to the SB. Bear fans like me were bummed. We wanted Miami. They were the only team that beat us that year. We wanted to destroy them and avenge our only loss that season.

I still remember that decades later. But yeah, it was great to win the SB, even though we all knew the Pats didn't have a chance against us.

I totally get it. But as a fan who was rooting for Miami that monday night because I wanted to see the Bears lose, I never remembered the NE upset in the AFCCG. All I remember is the bears blowing new England out and the fridge and the super bowl shuffle. If Miami had won and upset the bears in SB (which i doubt) no one would have talked about that team for the next 40 years like we do.

Today was frustrating. We had a chance to get help and got zero.

I just want Darnold to win one f'n playoff game (and more). You know? It's funny. I just said "who cares about narratives" yet I'm concerned about the Darnold-narrative here of not winning a Playoff game.

I think I better calm down here and look at the BIG PICTURE like @NoGain and the rest.

Our Defense WON'T give up 500+ yards of total offense like last time.

THAT was a fluke.

I'm going to say that this time will be closer to a carbon-copy of the first meeting but WITHOUT Darnold's stupid INTs.

We're going to win that game and send Stafford and PUKE-ah Knuckledhead and McVay home.

My main reason of being upset is that there's a real possibility that like last year, he goes one-and-done. And I'll have to hear/read about Sam proving his detractors right AGAIN. And the thought of that pisses me off and makes me want to punch people like Stephen A, Nick Wright, and Chris Broussard in their stupid face.

But I need to follow my own advice.

I shouldn't worry about narratives.

Just go out and beat the f--king Rams next week.

The Rams secondary is weak. Made Bryce Young look all pro.

However, I'm concerned we'll turtle up, trying to play it safe and not take advantage of this weakness.

Plus Davante was rusty coming off his injury but I don't expect him to be rusty again. Jobe better bring his A game.

Today sucked. Rams are beatable, but I wanted the path of least resistance to the SB.
