Repeat or bust. I agree how it felt like we were "a year early." And I love how we skipped right over that 2012 type of season and won it all. So now that we're here, why the hell not think we can't repeat? We have a young roster, most of whom will be returning, great coaching, and plenty of cap space. Year 3 of MM's defense could be even more insane. Get Crosby and IT'S OVER for the rest of the league.

I think we got very lucky not having to play the Bills, Chiefs, or Ravens in the Super Bowl. I think the Rams will take a step back next year, as I don’t see Stafford playing that well again. The 49ers—well, they’re always injured, and Shanahan can’t win big games, so I’m not too worried. I forget who the fourth team in the division is 😉.

It’s going to be hard for this team to repeat and win the whole thing again. (At least that’s how I feel.)
The Bills don't scare me even with Josh Allen.

I think our defense would've been able to handle him.

Mahomes would've been a challenge because its Mahomes (and the refs; and Taylor Swift) so that would've been tougher.

But what would've been even tougher than that was if we had to face Lamar and the Ravens, mainly 'cause Lamar's strength is our defense's greatest weakness which are running QBs.

Agreed with everything except for who gets MVP.

Next time around, Sam won't be missing TD passes and will get the MVP nod.

I think expectations will be sky high this coming season. The question is how will the team handle those expectations and everyone gunning for them.

The Rams are still young, except for Stafford. He'll still be good, but I'd be surprised if he was as good as he was in 2025. And they have two first-round picks this year, thanks to the stupid Falcons.

The 49ers will be better, getting all their players back from injury. So plenty of competition, for sure. Having John Harbaugh in the NFC won't make things easy. Eagles, Lions, Packers and Bears will also be right up there.

Not thinking of next year till after we see what we have for a team, poaching and coaching fre agency and draft. We have a core but I have learned it maynot be the shiny piece but the glue that holds everything together and makes it all work. Darnold, Walker, Shaheed and JSN together and Charbs during the season made us multidimensional,Kupp and the TE's as fall back options which made us dangerous everywhere, defense we had a roatation on the D line and secondary depth that kept everyone pretty fresh. Depth is the key, teams are drooling at poaching a lot of our players.

It's also what limits a repeat since overcoming injuries becomes difficult then. Edric Pruitt anyone?

Dad jokes never die.........

I know my wife was excited about the Hawks winning the SB. But more so because she remembers how I was after I got home from 49. I've never been more bummed after a loss, ever. She said I was acting like someone died. And it absolutely felt like someone did.

Winning 60 was best for everyone around me :)
I had a student once tell me that my dad joke was so bad it was a grandpa joke.

I wanted to do a thread that’s a little different because I’m honestly not fully sure it’s sunk in yet that we won the Super Bowl. Going into this year, I really didn’t have high hopes, and the fact that we won the whole thing still feels like I might be in shock. I felt like I was always waiting for the other shoe to drop and thinking, “Well, better luck next year.”

So now that we are the champs, I want to know—what are your feelings and expectations for next year?

I’ll go first. My expectation is to just make it back to the playoffs and play at a high level. Wait, what? The Seahawks won the Super Bowl?!?! Dayum they did indeed. And I'm only slightly joking about my first sentence. I know they won but for some strange reason I have to keep reminding myself of this. I was getting ready for bed the other night and I said to my wife, "holy shit, the Seahawks won the Super Bowl". Then I just giggled like a school girl. Not the first time I've done that in the past three weeks. I don't remember feeling like this after XLVIII. After XLVIII I was fully immersed in the win after 38 years of futility. The weird thing is, I actually kind of felt along since mini camps post draft that they might just indeed win it all. I felt the force on this. I don't think I've ever had this much knowing confidence heading into a season. If only I'd have known how to make a big ol bet...

My expectations for the 2026 season? This team gelled much quicker than most expected. We have the best coach in the league, the best defense, a team that is fairly young but knows how to win. My expectations are what they aremost years. Most years I hope they can go all the way. Now I know they can. The defense will probably be better. I think the offense will be more consistant. Buckle up kids. We are at the beginning of another run. And a run that has happened before most folks even considered one.

Tough to make any predictions when the off season has barely started. Potential FA losses are wicked nasty and the FA market hasn't even begun yet.

But I'll set my floor expectations at 12 wins and a real shot at the Div title. Other than that, my crystal ball is looking a bit cloudy right now.

Your floor expectations are fair.

Though I would add an extra win to that floor because....Ginger Cuz (as Marshawn calls him). ;)

Expecting at least one more Lombardi with current roster, even after losing a couple of players in free agency like Waller, Mafe, Woolen and Shahid but I also expect a busy free agency of incoming talent. Hopefully we can sign Tyler Linderbaum at center and draft Ione or someone else to replace Bradford. Sundell can back up Linderbaum. Be cool to have Walker back but he’s for sure testing the waters and going to Detroit now that Montgomery is in Houston
why replace Sundell? I thought he did really good at center

I have no idea since neither the draft or free agency has happened yet. So I'll just say "Yes!"

This is how I've been feeling too. That's what the weird thing is to me, It almost feels like at this point we are just playing on house money. If we win heck yes (I will still be shocked) if we lose or have a bad season, I will be like we at least we wont the SB last year lol.

for SB 48 it felt so different like that team should have won so many more that's why SB 49 left like I died inside.
