Now the 2018 season is over, I had a question for the .net:

Do you guys believe that the current duo Doug Baldwin and Tyler Lockett are better than 2013 Baldwin and Tate?

Talking only about the WR duo

Baldwin is a much better player than he was 4 years ago. Lockett was stellar this year. That said, Wilson would be deadly with a top 5 WR that is 6'2"+. Someone like Mike Evans.

Depends. I like Lockett, but Tate fits our style. Tate added a certain toughness. Tyler is under used in my opinion.

My dad(Cowboys fan) was screaming "how could they call that a catch!" before the replay. I simply said " Because he's Doug and he caught it. He missed the Lockett diving catch though.

I think Lockett and Tate are very comparable so I'll give the edge to Baldwin and Lockett just because Baldwin is better now than he was then.

I've been saying this for years. This draft class is potentially loaded with 6'3" 215+ receivers in the alpha X mold. Don't get me wrong, I love Doug and Lock, but this team needs a big bodied, dominant receiver.

But to the point of the post, I'd take Doug and Lock all day. Tate is very similar to Doug, and Tyler possesses skills that even Tate has never had.

Too few opportunities to judge. I would like to think that including a big receiver in the mix would help open things up for the other two but I’m not sure we have enough plays to go around. We are a run first, run second, and throw sometimes run sometimes on third offense.

I have become uncertain about what to think about matching up with big and tall receivers. Perhaps there is a natural match up between Russell Wilson love for improvisation and the natural skills of smaller receivers that are quicker at accelerating, decelerating, change of direction and running tight arcs.

But then again, maybe some day a big and tall receiver that Russell can work with and trust will eventually show up. Too bad about David Moore fading over the finish of the season. The offense loss something once opponents figure him out. Sure could have used an effective third receiver on Saturday. I'm all ears about receivers building confidence and trust with Russell Wilson in the off season. That has helped in the past. The Tyler Lockett / Russell Wilson chemistry is one of the more impressive examples in recent history.

short Wr's so he can throw low natural.
