Seattle has moved up to #4 in offensive DVOA which is surprising. Going to be interesting to see if the needle moves when they play a couple of softer defenses coming up after the Minn game.

I'd like to see the needle move up after the Minn. game.

Big game... and, because I reside in this frozen wasteland and am surrounded by fragile Vikings fans, its even more so for me, who will have to listen to these high school cheerleaders all week. Atleast Packer fans get on with their lives after a win.

Agreed. A good showing against a very good defense would tell us a lot for the Offense going forward. I have a feeling we will all continue to like what we're seeing from the offense.

There are teams all around the league wishing they had an offense like Seattle's.

We don't see it because we're so consumed with every negative play that occurs in the latest game.

Great point Rob and I'm guilty of this at times as well.

lol

I have been arguing this for years but just lost steam cause it was a lost cause. People are gonna hate Bevell unless we get 5 TDs a game. Despite our propensity toward running - we have had a top 10 offense for 4 years straight.

I am not going to say Bevell is the greatest OC in the league - but I have a lot of respect for what he has accomplished with Wilson (anything but a sure thing our of college) and a cast of undrafted olineman, wide receivers and TEs.

I am concerned about the Vikings propensity to get to the QB, though. They are athletic and have some unique blitz packages.

However, they don't defend the run well. Should be interesting game plan giving that Seattle has found strength in their Oline pass blocking and trusting Wilson to throw alot more the last two weeks. Now comes a team that struggles with what was Seattle's strength for the last two seasons.

According to HawkBlogger, the Vikings are ranked 21st in sack rate in the last three games.

What they're good at is red zone defense. The key to this game IMO is converting at least 2-3 red zone appearances into TD's. If we score 23 I think we win.

I am confident that we win ion Sunday, but is anyone concerned about the run D? it seemed last week that the Steelers RBs would break tackles, and gain positive yards when it looked like we were going to stuff them? AP concerns me here.

Not concerned beyond the fact that it is AP. Pitty dropped back to pass like 60 times and ran 10 or so. If we were not set up to stop the run I totally get why.

I guess we sell out to stop the run, and let Teddy try to beat us with his arm?

Diggs is a wild card, but Sherman can shut him down. They haven't effectively found Wallace all year. The main concern will be Rudolph

I hope the Seahawks don't let Rudolph play in any reindeer games and Santa doesn't get involved.

I wonder what the DVOA is like in the five games Rawls led in touches versus the six he didn't? It definitely feels like Rawls has provided a spark that the offense needed. Everyone- the WRs, the TEs and the OL have been playing with more urgency with Rawls, particularly in the past two games. I feel like this has allowed Wilson to relax a bit more and just focus on distributing the football without having to feel like the weight of the world is on his shoulders.

Over the last two games, the extra urgency might be because of Lynch being out rather than some special support for Rawls.

Probably because Packers fans are used to their team winning.

Pretty fair assessment. I'd say if we can shut down their run game, and establish ours, we can score that 23 and win by 10. Rudolph is a big target, but he's not all that fast so I think we can limit the damage he does. Diggs has been streaky but Sherman can shut him down. After that, a little pressure in Bridgewater and it should be a comfortable win.

That said, I'm more confident in a win now, but before Pissburgh I thought we were going to lose this game.
