Definitely screams to me ya gotta play to your strengths, just wish Grubb wouldn't run up the middle as much or at least use play action and misdirection better , i know it's not easy but a confused defense isn't normally an effective one and we obviously have the talent to get it done

The Chiefs and Bills also have two of the best offensive minds running their repsective offenses and teams. And bonafied x-factors at QB... elite, beyond argument.

The Bills have the 11th ranked rushing attack. The Chiefs ... average. So when they run the ball the other 40 or so percent of the time, it works.

You conveniently ignore the fact that our OC is increasingly being questioned by the media and his coach about the lack of creativity on offense.

The Texans are coming down to earth. There's an article on the front page of ESPN.com right now about 'what happened to CJ Stroud' so are we talking about the same QB?

Stroud has had to deal with WR injuries all year and an Oline as bad as ours.

We rank 27th in rushing average and rushing total yards. The Bills, Chiefs and Houston rank considerably better than we do. considerably higher. Not to mention that the chiefs and the bills have much better defenses than we have so far this year. Could this be a factor on our teams record?

Sure. Could the QB also be a factor?

Not at all. My point is that All 3 of them are a lot better than Geno. The QB you have under center matters a LOT. Excuses don't change who someone is.
I would MUCH rather have Stroud than gePICK.
Been following Stroud a bit too. I have draft a QB that works out great-envy.

We SHOULD suck, but are actually succeeding, which in my opinion is a credit to THE CREATIVE POTENTIAL of Grubb in the passing game and Geno's ability as a QB.
Respectfully - I have to say "Are you kidding?" Not looking for a fight - and you have lots of stats - but on this point - just no.

I've literally seen 5 screen plays - 4 in the last game, and that's about as creative as Grubb has gotten.

Only things in my opinion holding things together right now? Defense post-adjustments and new attitude recently, DK, JSN, and Geno when he's 'on'. K9 has had some flashes too - but far too inconsistent - and 'again' - that's the Grubb factor.

Grubb: Please surprise me. Please turn it around. This just sounds more and more like a broken record.

A key issue that Grubb needs to immediately improve upon is short yardage. Way too much Charbs up the gut for no gain or a loss. Also because Grubb evidently refuses play action when Geno’s under center in short yardage (especially in the I) teams know it’s a run, stack the box and stuff the RB.

Why not more QB sneaks too? Why not rollouts, bootlegs? And why not take advantage of Geno’s speed and have a sprintout run/pass option every now and then?

Simply, Grubb’s rushing strategy/calls are becoming as culpable to blame as the line.

The Titans let Derrick Henry go.
The Giants let Saquon Barkley go.
The Raiders let Josh Jacobs go.

They're all unhappy now.

A bellcow really can matter, and there are ways for them to matter that don't wear them down after three years. Teams are figuring that out.

All three of those guys went to teams with really good offensive lines.

The offensive line matters a lot more than the back does. Sure, these guys are good talents, but they wouldn’t look too good on the Seahawks right now.

Baltimore's is ranked near the bottom.

Just like the quarterback, the play of who's behind the line can be demanding or undemanding on the line's performance and reflect on their ultimate quality.

One of these days people are going to figure out that the OL has long since joined the LB's as the least influential part of a unit. It can be average.

They also have Lamar Jackson, teams cannot sell out to stop the running back or they’re going to get gashed.

Also, I don’t think that is true in baltimores case. At least PFF has every offensive lineman well above average on PFF. Yes, they did start off slow but I wouldn’t call them “near the bottom”

Offensive lineman matters and I’m going to have to disagree with your assessment on the relevance of oline.

Yes, good running backs can make a line look better, but also teams have long been able to insert low round picks into the running back slot and have a lot of success.

Just look at what the Ravens did with Collins and Forsett and compare what they did with us here in Seattle.

Feel free, teams with anywhere from good to bottom-tier offensive lines have been winning the Super Bowl for fifteen years.

You should know, you root for one of them. Seattle ranked #32 in DVOA in 2013.

For everyone complaining about Grubbs formations, shotgun snaps etc the bengals have similar weaknesses on their offense and call almost the same percentage of shotgun plays. So Grubb is doing what people conventionally do in an attempt to hide our weaknesses. Difference is Burrow is light years better. This tells me it’s execution at least as much as play calling.
