Man, where do I begin?

Michael Sinclair 1998 coming off his best season ever (16 sacks)...At the Kirkland DMV. He was sitting behind me and had his kids with him. Turned around, very nonchalantly I might add, and simply said "Big fan". He gave me a gentle nod and that was that.

Matt Hasselbeck. 2002. I was taking a tour of the then new stadium. Not many people around. I was standing around taking in the views when this tall dude walked up to me. "Pretty nice, right?" We ended up chatting for a good 10 minutes or so. I could tell he was a bit melancholy (This was when he was a backup to Dilfer), and I love to this day that I told him "We are with you. You are going to have a great career." And he did.

Bobby Engram. Some random autograph thing in a Safeway up in Snohomish. No crowds.

Brian Blades. Same thing. Autograph thing in the Pro Shop, circa 2000. Nobody there. We chatted for a good while.

Worst thing ever. Dave Brown. Legend. I literally walked right up to him. Didn't recognize him and Mike Flood said "Don't you know who this is?" Finally he said "Dave Brown!" I felt like a total POS.

Jeff Feagles. Cheney, training camp. There were 2 watering holes and he picked the one I was in. He sat down and said "Do you like beer?" Of course I said yes even though I hate beer. He ordered a pitcher and we drank it together and he couldn't have been more enjoyable. He was the best punter in the league back then. I asked him if he needed to worry about Holmgren's curfew and he said "Nah, I'm a seasoned vet." And he meant it. We shared many laughs and stories. One of my favorite memories.

The only player I met was Phillip Daniels because we both competed in powerlifting at the same event. Seemed like a really nice guy. A childhood friend works for the Seahawks and I've shared some of those stories so won't rehash it here. Doug Baldwin and Luke Wilson pre-game once talked to a few us down by the field and they both seemed super cool. I was shocked at how small both of them were.

Coached Baseball with Ricky Churchman who won a SB with the Niners and he played safety for them I think, super cool guy

I guess I talked to Michael bumpus once cause his daughter and my son both played in a basketaball tournament in port Angeles. I met Emmitt smith on a putting green in sequim at Dungeness golf course. I was a kid. My dad knew he was gonna be there and me and my brothers brought our football cards and all got an autograph. I also met Andre the giant at SeaTac. He was big. “Anybody want a peanut”
If there were rocks ahead were you all going to be dead?

@Maelstrom787 dawg…candy bar story pleaaasssee! 😂
Lmaoooo

I have a story like this too.

I had seen Russ at a grocery store some time back. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face.

I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

It was a sight to behold.

This isn’t a true meeting or interaction but, in light of the topic I’ll say this.

To this day I feel like an asshole/ regret taking this photo.
Not that I’m not happy to have it, but in hindsight it was disrespectful.

Wife and I had pregame field passes, this was a game vs the Lions. Golden Tate’s first return.

We were standing right in the middle of #24’s sister, Sherm’s mom, ET3 mom, Ricardo Lockette’s dad.

Marshawn was not playing due to a back injury IIRC, and during warmups he came over to see his peeps.

I almost wet my pants and couldn’t restrain myself, phone went up and I took a couple pix.

Still think it was a dick move, lesson hard learned.

In 2001 I went to the game at Buffalo, it was the last season we wore the OG uniforms before we switched over to the Reebok blue man group duds. Anyway, the night before the game we went to Anchor Bar (home of the original buffalo wings) and saw several coaches and players there. I ran into Matt Hasselbeck coming out of the men's room, I was wearing a Hawks hat and he asked if I was a local fan or if I flew in for the game. We chatted for a brief minute, very down to earth and overall nice guy. One of the few people who's persona in the media matches who he is in real life. I also noticed how flipping tall he was and skinny, lol. Hard to believe he was a pro football player.

I think I might have posted this when it happened, but, I ran into B Max at The Landing the off-season before we let him go and I said something to the effect of "I hope we can keep you, bro!" after the dap up. He didn't even say anything. The look on his face told me that he already knew what was in the cards.
He cashed in big from the Eagles though! Signed a 6 year 63 million deal, 25 million guaranteed and played one year for them (before getting traded)o_O.

Met Joe Nash at Wankers Corner in Wilsonville (near Portland) many moons ago he appeared to be on his own and sat with us for a bit bought a round after we bought him one - really a nice guy.

Also met Steve Largent at the RNC in 1996 - nicest guy ever. Seemed like your next door neighbor.

Cheney training camp 2006. My mom and I parked up above the stadium and were walking down to the practice area.

Some guy approached us in the parking lot, nobody around, and asked if we had a cell phone. We didn’t have one with us at the time. He said no big deal and kept walking by himself.

As he was walking away, it dawned on me that it was the kicker, Josh Brown.

Speaking of the Cheney days.

I have a cap, the signatures aren’t even really discernible anymore (I used a cheap silver ink pen) and they have faded to the point that only I know what they are.

Charlie Young, Ron Essink, Norm Johnson, Jim Zorn, and Steve Largent.

I don’t remember the year but those five only played one or two years together.
Was early 80s, maybe 82/83

Those days as a young fan living in the Spokane area were amazing.
The access to the players was basically wide open.
Many great times were had.

I met Joe Montana not far from there at a Safeway in Sunnyvale. It was actually a pretty rad experience although I was 6 and incredibly shy. This was in '89. I still have the newspaper clipping he signed.
In hindsight, Dilfer saved me a lot of $$ and frustration, Range Rovers are, well, were problematic. It was an impulse outing, and the almighty sent Dilfer to save me from myself.

Praise Praise Praise.

Nothing but a near miss for me, Curt Warner was our Insurance Rep for a period, should have gone and had him review my coverage.

They still are.

I begged my wife not to get one.

Her new one (less than 20k miles) has been in the shop multiple times.
Last time they had it over a month trying to figure out why it randomly would not start.

Where was Trent when I needed him?

I’ve never met a Seahawk….

I was at a bar a bar in Seattle called Tia Lu’s or something like that and it was like an after hours party and marshawn lynch and Richard Sherman were supposed to be there that night. This place had bongs on the table. But I drank too much and passed out in our booth and after one of my “buddies” got done bull riding me while I was passed out they dragged me out to the van and left me in there while they kept partying…. I didn’t meet marshawn and Sherman….
