Shouldn’t this be moved to the NFL forum? I don’t want to read about another NFL team in the SEAHAWKS forum.

Seahwkgal is correct. Wrong forum.
Karen's don't enter into it.

If he hypothetically would've priced himself out of Seattle in free agency, they'd get a 3rd rd comp pick back. If not, they get their legitimate pass rusher back unless they drop the ball like they did with Clowney.jammerhawk":3nprpndo said:hawkfan68":3nprpndo said:There's a reason for why the Vikings traded him for less than it took them to acquire him. This!
And this, the Ravens are in the AFC.
And this: he isn’t really playing up to his demands to be the #1 paid DE.
He only has a $5M cap hit after being traded.Sgt. Largent":1qw2qe0t said:Three reasons;
1. We gave up our draft capital for Adams.
2. Ngakoue is a rent-a-player. He's going to want a big contract in the off season.
3. He's making 12M this year. Our current cap space is 3M.

He'd only be a rental if he prices himself out, which the Hawks would receive a 3rd rd comp pick for unless they mess it up like they did with Clowney.
Not giving up a draft pick to put your team over the top is dumb, even after making the questionable Adams trade.

People seem more concerned about a late 2nd or 3rd rd draft pick than actually adding a player that could put this team over the top. They just traded a late 3rd+late 2nd to move up a few spots to pick an injured, unproven DE, but it'd be crazy giving up less than that for a proven top talent with a mere $5M cap hit?
Ngakoue has 4 sacks in 4 games with a pressure percentage of 10%. But yeah, he's apparently not good stopping the run.

They thinned out their DLine last year and were rebuilding it, yet they don't want him?
It was tongue in cheek, sir. Obv no one really knows what happened.ivotuk":3h1504if said:You shouldn't use assumptions to back up your argument.

The more of these trades that happen, the more I believe that Seattle is not a desired destination for D-Line guys.
As much as I believe that the Hawks are just 1 to 2 pieces away from being the best in the NFL, if today I had to put money on which team is more likely to make the Super Bowl, Hawks or Ravens, I'm going with the Ravens.
I highly doubt that.
Also, I don't think Yannick had any say in the matter. Balt offered the best deal, the vikes took it.
