Here's my top 30 in regards to how good they are now. The question I asked in compiling it was more if you constructed the average NFL team, with average NFL coaches, and had to add a QB to it, who would be the most successful?

1. Joe Burrow
2. Patrick Mahomes
3. Josh Allen
4. Brock Purdy
5. Lamar Jackson
6. Jayden Daniels
7. Jalen Hurts
8. Matthew Stafford
9. CJ Stroud
10. Baker Mayfield
11. Justin Herbert
12. Jordan Love
13. Jared Goff
14. Tua Tagovailoa
15. Bo Nix
16. Dak Prescott
17. Kyler Murray
18. Derek Carr
19. Geno Smith
20. Trevor Lawrence
21. Sam Darnold
22. Justin Fields
23. Aaron Rodgers
24. Caleb Williams
25. Russell Wilson
26. Drake Maye
27. Bryce Young
28. Michael Penix
29. Malik Willis
30. Kirk Cousins

You make me happy to be a Husky grad every time you post.
Congrats? Not sure you have anything to really brag about. But please feel free to share what you mean by that?

DK doesn’t squat 500lbs. I’d guess very few if any wr in the league squats that much.

Hurts is unique for how strong he is in that position. He’s rushed from 600-800 yards 4 straight years with double digit touchdowns all of those years too. We have to factor that into the equation. He’s not quite the runner Lamar is in the open field but he can do things running Lamar can’t do either.

Hurts is a good not great passer who can hurt you because of what his legs set up. Hes a special player running the football, add that up and you have a great QB who has won multiple big games including the SB. Hes much better than Geno at the moment imo.
It's fine if you like Hurts more than Geno. It's kind of a strange hill to die on though, since Hurts isn't going to be playing here. My point was/is that Geno is a competent enough quarterback to take us to a superbowl.

btw: here is DK squatting 515#.

Good list but I’d also take Caleb Williams, Sam Darnold, Drake Maye and Trevor Lawrence in front of him too. So I’d put him at 23. Penix and Yound TBD.

Going from zero playoff victories to "can lead us to a Super Bowl" would be quite a jump in a QB's age 35 season. That feels like an almost delusional amount of faith in a team's ability to greatly improve in several important areas in a very short amount of time (like 1-2 offseasons).

If it was QBs I'd want for the next three years, I'd take them too, but I was trying to express more how I feel about how good they are right now.

He’s about 5”high, that’s not a legit 515 squat. It’s fine for football and maybe I’m biased because I competed in powerlifting.

And it’s also find if you like Geno more. I I like many in here don’t make this personal and couldn’t care less how each of us rank players.

I’m not convinced Geno could take us to a SB without an ultra elite roster and if you’re paying him more and couldn’t build that roster before how are you going to build it now with less money? That’s where I’m at. I’m also worried Geno has already hit the age regression. Very few guys his age get better each year which is what we need him to do. I just don’t think that is an expensive bet to make. Maybe they make a crazy friendly team deal but it doesn’t sound like he wants to do that

Reasonable.
I am probably higher on Lawrence than many and think Darnold's good play will continue though the Vikings were loaded on offense. 2nd year for the other two I think will be good too. But I don't know. Good list. I didn't put Penix higher but I am curious there as well.

Everybody understands but you apparently.
Just say it. You say everybody but I only see 2 people agree with anything you’ve said on this entire topic. I’ve seen a lot more agree with me. Maybe you should try making an argument based on facts rather than feelings.

I can’t figure out what “everybody” knows but me. Do tell.

I like Lawerence, he has been thrown out to the wolves all by himself for his whole career and he’s still alive. I still watch him and believe he has the chance to be a top shelf qb. What if he was an eagle. Or a buccaneer there’s lots of places where he coulda went and it woulda changed his story

Nice list, I would debate a couple spots, but they’re not that significant, maybe Lawrence and Penix and maye but that’s all potential and your list is now. And to your question about avg teams I’d take Josh Allen. He is elite, but he is also versatile and durable.

That's still pretty decent squat depth though. Sure not PL depth but better than 80% of gym goers. The crazy part about that video is that it is from 2015??

No doubt. Would MUCH rather have Sunshine than Geno.

Ok that’s fair. It is much better than most gym goers I will concede that point!

DK is a freak and even that weight at that depth surprised me. He’s a monster and probably the strongest at the position in the league. I was overly skeptical because almost every lifting video I see from around the league is horrible in this regard.

Off topic but I just watched a video of Saquan and Hurts squatting and Hurts is even higher than DK by quite a bit. Still super impressive and on another level than every other QB I'm sure. Barkley has great depth. He truly is a freak and could be a world class squatter if he wanted.
