Thank you JS. I still think very little of you but this was the right call and a point in your favor.
I agree, Geno is not a QB you can build upon. I don't see how the Raiders get anything more than a rent-a-player. I am still hoping for Lockett to come back under more cap friendly terms. He is my modern day favorite player.Thank you JS. I still think very little of you but this was the right call and a point in your favor.
Schneider basically traded Geno for Darnold, more cap space, and a 3rd round draft pick! Great move! There may be hope for John yet!
was there a Darnold signing I don't know about?Schneider basically traded Geno for Darnold, more cap space, and a 3rd round draft pick! Great move! There may be hope for John yet!
What do you mean wasn’t staying? He was under contract. This just isn’t true. Geno wasn’t staying without an extension so his cap number would have decreased either way. Cap will likely be a wash for any qb over $30 million and 3+ years.
If we go with Howell and a draft pick we will have tremendous savings.
Lockett is gone. All of Pete’s holdovers don’t like playing for a team where they are held accountable.I agree, Geno is not a QB you can build upon. That is my hope.Don’t be surprised to see Darnold go elsewhere, the focus will be upon OLine and edge rush while the team in reinvented as a smash mouth running team.
The team will draft a young QB to develop behind a better than we acknowledge QB that is the present backup. The grumbling from the many will be loud but the results will pleasantly surprise.
Free Agency will be very interesting this year.
