Raiders are assembling a club for coaches approaching or past retirement age:

HC: Pete Carroll - 74
AHC: Marvin Lewis - 66
OC: Chip Kelly - 61
QB: Greg Olsen - 62
DC: Patrick Graham - 46
ST: Tom McMahon - 56

Don't you love that the Hawks' coaching staff are nowhere near retirement age?

The DC, DL coach and OL coach are all early to mid 40s. Haven’t heard about the other position coaches yet.

This is a bit ageist. It's not about age. From my perspective, someone in their 50s or 60s seems quite young. Carroll and Belichick had their best years in their 60s. Andy Reid is 66.

I really don't care how old the coaches are.

Yeah, old people coaching staffs are the worst. Look at this team:

HC: Andy Reid - 66
AHC/ST: Dave Toub - 62
OL: Andy Heck - 58
TE: Tom Melvin - 63
DC: Steve Spagnuolo - 65
DL: Joe Cullen - 57
Yeah I don't understand how age is detrimental. Wisdom, experience, and respect used to be sought after traits

Exactly right. That was the retort I had in mind when reading that silly original post.
