IMO, I think the key to victory is making sure Kaepernick does not torch us on his scrambles/runs. I'm also concerned with just stoping their overall run game in general. I think if we can stop the run we have a good shot tonight? Anything else?

On defense we have to be able to shut down the run. On offense we need to be able to beat the pressure from their Dline. We know both our lines will be physically over matched so this one is going to take a herculean effort from the players and better strategising than we have seen from our staff in quite some time. Pete may have to get outside of his comfort zone.

Agree keep Kaepernick contained can not let him run around , Defense has to play there best game of the year .

the offense will come give Wilson time to make decisions OL ?

Baldwin has to step up , and of course Beast Mod has to happen.

I'm going to sound like a broken record here, but I really think on offense we need to establish the TE as a threat. That will get coverage respecting those routes and will soften the rush by one guy enough times to get some good things done.

On D, I'll try to make Kap have to beat us with his arm. If we can keep Gore in check and keep the QB in the pocket good things will happen.

It has been the exact same formula for 4 years now. Run. Stop the run.

AGREE GO HAWKS

What do the San Francisco 49ers playoff run and the Civil War have in common?
Both of them were ended by a man named Sherman.

cover boldin. everytime i watch a SC game, boldin is the go to guy. cover him. and on the offensive side of the ball, we need TD's rather than FGs. what did we have sunday like 4 FGs, and 3 of them came in the redzone??? if i remember correctly. so cover boldin, finish drives with TDs. :49ersmall: :49ersmall: :49ersmall:

This. They even said last year during one of the games that the team that has more success running the ball has won during these match ups. I don't see that changing this year.

Let Kaep get his running yards in the first half and he'll wear down in the second half like he always does. Seahawks should win this one because they ARE the better team and the home field advantage doesn't exist in Santa Clara because they haven't imported the stench of urine yet.

PLAY CALLING.

Plain and simple- do not be predictable. Lately Bevell has been failing to capitalize on the dominant run game with effective play action and misdirection plays. Keep SF off guard and Hawks will win this one handily 30-17.

The key is to play uber good to overcome the refs who will be going out of their way to get a 49er win.

And keep Gore in check. He has been the deciding factor the last 3 years down there.

Got to shut down Gore and Hyde. You take away their identity on offense and make them one dimensional we have a chance. I believe that any time Gore gets over 100 yards they are undefeated. On the other side, we need to get Lynch and Wilson going. Would love our TEs to be a factor to keep them off balance. Will be a difficult challenge IMO to snatch victory today.

Agreed... It will be raining yellow to keep those 9er drives alive. Let's see how many 3rd down flags are thrown for automatic 1st downs today...

I have no doubt the refs will be against us today. I fully expect a bad call or non-call against us in a critical situation. It's going to be an extremely tough challenge to win today. At least the Eagles are kicking Dallas' ass.

I have to agree Boldin has really stepped it up in the last few games..I can see Irvin on him most the game..Most athletic Backer and Bruce is big enough to handle him...Kaperdink off his spot with run contain on edges..Make him throw...and last Pressure we have to have a bit more pressure...
Go Hawks...the run starts today... :thirishdrinkers:
