Only those who competed for the ring should receive one.

Yes, I also feel front office should get something other than a ring. Owner, coaches, players get rings. All others involved can have a certificate of being employed. So no former player should get one unless they earned one.

There's a big difference between the 18K at Staples Center vs the 70K at CLink, but when they gave out Stanley Cup replica rings after the 2012 championships, I expected them to be crappy plastic versions but they were pretty solid, stainless steel, heavy suckers. Allen has the cash to do that, would be incredible if he did.
