He isn't high on him, he is high on looking for reasons to pick against the seahawks. always has been.

What are you talking about. Pete forced john to give up a first for him

You two are confusing Carroll and Prisco.

I probably should have just let that go... it had the earmarks of an entertaining slapfight.

this seems to be the most logical response... instead of "getting annoyed" at what people on TV say.

Harvin brings this team so much more than we have at the moment. He's a dynamic return threat, he's fantastic relieving pressure on the QB and running back with his ability to turn short quick passes into long gains, he gives RW more in the read option.

if anything, most of the national media touting his return dont know enough about what he can bring.

As for the cancer thing.. ridiculous. Living in Minnesota it became quite apparent he just got fed up with crappy QB play. When he made his sentiments know it led to conflict. he got hurt shortly after and basically said he wasnt interested in returning. Thats cancerous? Look at the Vikings now... seems maybe he wasnt too far off.

I wouldn't even call it a slapfight. Prisco cant hit water if he fell out of a boat. Guy is clueless. Fight would be one sided

We all know Percy Harvin only has two speeds

1. Injured

He got the injured out of the way early. now time for the awesome.

It isn't annoying but more likely just a tad optimistic. He is a talent, the likes the Seahawks aren't used to drafting (bless our lucky stars the Bills couldn't work it out with Lynch). I suspect there will be some rust and the usually more frustrating "Getting on the same page with the QB" thing that happens between WRs and QBs.

Not playing for close to a year, there is just the getting use to the pounding and not pulling something due to moves you haven't done in awhile. His return could lead to an explosion of big plays or it could be a weekly nursing of bumps, bruises and adjustments. I get the feeling many pundits are thinking it will be like flipping a switch. They also probably have their "What's wrong with Harvin and the Seahawks offense?" articles written and raring to go.
Well said Dr.
Hopefully Harvin can adapt to our offensive needs and figure out the nuances quickly.

Russ's first int from yesterday (where he was adjusting the route and then changed his mind but it seemed like Jermaine didn't get the memo) is something that we may see anyways as they try and patch the holes up.

I was and am regretful of the trade but am hopeful for the best and that Harvin can kick our offense into high gear. I can see why fans are excited for PH, his talents might pay huge dividends if he can get early separation. Harvin's physicality is exciting and may be our biggest help considering that opponents continue to use the Hawks as a litmus test for their own progress.

Drama Town........

The posters here on .net can be hilarious! I was chuckling to myself all through this thread. Appears to me to be "pent up frustration"...period!

Just relax....Pete will surprise us when he says, "Percy will play this Sunday". You know that Pete and John will have their fingers crossed the entire game, don't you?

If he has the speed he had on the Vikings he will be the real difference maker everyone is saying he'll be. Right now they are putting as many pass rushers as possible, with Harvin in there they'll have to take one off to guard him against wheel routes and stuff like that.

Would you rather be putting up 40 points a game and 5-4 or this offense and 8-1?

Why would we be 5-4 if we're putting up 40 points a game? :|

that would be one sad defense....

well Pete said they clocked Percy at 4.1-4.2 I think you can go find that audio somewhere. If that answers your speed question.

as to the original poster... Every Seahawks fan has to be looking forward to when Percy arrives he brings a talent that is very rare in the nfl.
Hmmm how did Russell Wilson say it.. he is ridiculously fast.

Is anyone fed up with this "once they get Percy Harvin back"

Coming "back" to what? The only Harvin we know is the one that played for the Vikings. he hasn't played for Seattle yet, and we don't know what he is going to bring, or how he will fit into the system. Okung and Breno, we know what they bring. We don't know anything about this guy other than

1) what he did in Minnesota
2) He is hurt, and probably more than we think.
3) We don't have a clue how he will fit with this offense or if he will be a cancer like he was in Minny
4) THE MEDIA IS MAKING HIM OUT TO BE THE SAVIOR AND ANSWER AND FINAL PIECE OF THE PUZZLE and this is while taking points 1,2, and 3 into consideration

I work for a lawyer, so Im used to being meticulous with words, and bringing him "back" to me seems like an oxymoron.

HE HASNT PLAYED HERE YET!!!!!!

I don't know, maybe its just me, but its very irritating.
yes it's just you!

Harvin never saved Minny. Seems like we haven't lost to them in ages.

He could help us just like Golden Tate with dynamic play making ability.

Oh, youuuuuu'll see.... This ain't no Deion Branch crap. This is a whole 'nother animal. Just reading the Vikings board after he left Minny told me everything I needed to know about the dude. And just how are they doing this season? He's gonna be HUGE once he joins the team... How's that go again? "Marker my words"... lol He's Golden Tate X 5. Can't frickin' wait to see him synch up with Russell...

If you aren't excited about the potential of Harvin just go watch some of his footage; it's all over the internet. He can hit a gear that few NFL players have and he hits it quickly. And yes, it is just potential for the moment until we see how healthy he is, but this is a forum that gets excited about the potential in guys like Kearse and Lockette. I haven't seen you post anything complaining about that.
