If he didn't start making false equivalencies while accusing me of double standards, I wouldn't have called him out.
I'm not criticizing anyone, just trying to get the temperature below the boiling point, lol. I'm not trying to police anyone here.

In a thread about George Kittle.
There aren't any threads about Kittle on a SF fan page?
I'm assuming there are although I wouldn't truly know because I have never visited one. I don't hang out where 9ers do because those places always seem to smell like shit.
I have "friends" that cheer for the 9ers and I'm all good with people supporting their team but anyone crossing into enemy lines without the cover of darkness should expect a hostile environment, even if it's just good ol fashion shit talking with no foul intent.
Y'all can do what you want but I say F the 9ers and their fans!

McCaffrey is done, finished burned toast. Sorry, quickness and versatility was key for him, and he is an injury waiting to happen. I wouldn't doubt he retires in training camp.

It’s not a dumb argument at all. Would you rather have Kittle at 19.1 million a season for 4 years or Kupp at 15 million for 3 seasons . I would argue that there are more injury concerns with Kupp
Such a great question, without an easy answer. I see them as roughly equivalent contracts for their positions. It really comes down to the system they are playing in.

On the Seahawks, under Grubb, I’m taking the Kupp contract. Easy answer. On the Niners, under Shanahan, Kittle has proven to be a well-utilized weapon. He’s the obvious pick there.

Kittle’s impact, in the Shanahan system, goes far beyond his production. He opens the field for the receivers and for CMC.

Not to suggest Kupp doesn’t do the same, but I don’t see him having the same impact here, in the Shanahan system, as Kittle.

Until we see how the new offense looks, I think the answer is Kupp. On the other hand, Kubiak utilizes his tight ends similarly to Shanahan, and so the Kittle contract starts to look a little more appealing.

It also depends on the other players on the roster. Seattle needs WR more than TE right now. I would argue so does SF, though Kittle can provide some relief from the lack of talent in the WR pool.

TLDR. Not an easy answer here. Both are reasonable contracts for aging vets. Both have injury concerns. The value of both contracts depends on how the player is intended to be utilized.

Hold my feet to the fire, and, under the Kubiak and Shanahan systems, I’m probably taking on the Kittle contract.

At that position..it will only get worse.
He has always missed 2 games a season year to year and plays through a lot of pain as evidenced by his "Receiver" documentary. But these seasons have always also been after deep playoff runs. He only ever missed significant time in 2020.

There was no playoffs in 2024. That extra time off is going to help guys like McCaffery , Williams, Kittle, Warner, Bosa, Juice who are getting older. After the last superbowl in 2019, the same thing happened, lots of injuries in 2020. Superbowl 2023, lots of injuries and 6-10 in 2024.

49ers will be closer to 10 wins than 10 losses this year. Also the schedule is a cake walk. They are playing the 4th team schedule

Over/under on 49ers wins is 10.5. You guys can bet on multiple betting platforms if the demise of the 49ers is so apparent

Odd that you’re on this message board…the absolute last thing on my “to do list” is to go on message boards of teams I’m not a fan of. What’s the point, and why are you here other than to stir shit up? Just weird on so many levels…I’ll never understand I guess

9ers got the schedule they deserved. They're playing the 4th team schedule because they are ASS. That's the prize for being last place in the division.
Superbowl window closed hard and fast, they couldn't pull of a SB with guys in their prime and a serviceable QB on a 7th round rookie deal, the coach, team talent, scheme and state are all in decline. 😁

Nice excuse for underperforming. We went back to the Super Bowl the year after we won, and made it to the divisional round the year after both times we lost.
