I would have liked to see our defensive front do even better given the Rams OL isn't that much better than ours right now. They gave Geno fits while we made Stafford mildly uncomfortable at times.
Woolen was disappointingly bad yesterday, but he has been one of our few defensive standouts in previous games.
Even with his struggles yesterday, Woolen's passer rating against (74.5) is good for 18th among defensive backs with 200+ coverage snaps. With a 1mil cap hit this season he's one of our few contracts with amazing surplus value and he's under contract in 2025 as well.
The last play also wasn't particularly bad. The Rams were already in FG range and we were correct to prioritize the short game. They took a gamble on a deep pass that worked, but they would have won anyway with a few very short gains. The real problem was that they were down there in the first place when they only needed a FG to win.
