Gents,

You really got me waxing nostalgic with these posts about our yesteryears. Revisiting some of our alumni members, some still here, most gone and have moved on, and sadly from the earthly existence as well. One thing I realized is there are a lot of current members that don't really have any idea of the history of this place. So over the next week or so I will be compiling my next "Breda Report" (if you know you know), basically an autobiography of Seahawks.NET.

So hold tight, enjoy your favorite food and beverage Sunday as we likely transition to 7-2 and a new era of dominant and relevant Seattle Seahawks football, and long live .NET and LET'S GO HAWKS!

Should do one for a online store on how you created this place and how it has survived. You could make BILLIONS ! :)

But our History from behind the scenes so to speak would be a great read and juggle the memory wagon, there are so many here, the theatre has changed from the beginning days where posting could end up as a virtual bloodbath to the present much more sophisticated arena. We have evolved as the game has and Internet, very confrontational at times in the beginnng to a more Gentlemens club environment, not dismissing our Lady friends just a figure of speech.

Maybe one day we should do a tribute to those members who we have sadly lost over the years. I know a few were mentioned that I did not know who had passed. Just a thought! Maybe even a permanent forum honoring those folks?

I'm sure you'll touch on this ... but the trips to Cheney in the early '00s were a big deal as far as building the community. Many folks came to one or more of those camps.

And I will love anyone’s help with names. My memory is dog poo these days and I don’t want to leave any obvious names out.

And the get togethers over at Les's place. I heard so many great things from Les back in the days and the special "punch" that was made...sorry I had missed those....was too poor to travel during those times. Marriage and kids does that to a person lol.

So were the the several .Net social gatherings where you got to meet the some of the crazy folks who posted, and moderated. From that the true sense of community of friends was certainly established. We are all both loudly and quietly fanatics.

We've all aged from those days and I for one am sad we don't have Cheney any longer as I never got the chance to go. However I did get to meet some exceptional folks.

Does anyone still have the recipe for Les and Darlene's kickapoo joy juice??? Sure hope it has not been lost to posterity.

We all remember Radish, and in our own small way, many of us try to emulate the example of this guy who’d quietly get us all happy and liking each other as a community that would meet up in games. The last game was his empty chair vs chargers. The seat was offered to boys and girls club, but it was just one seat. It sat empty.

Those are my memories. While there is only one radish, @AROS most carries said tradition on.

Kickapoo!! Very naughty sauce I tell you, and equally delicious.

Let's not forget those time he would chastise us when we would get out of control...I had a few stearn but friendly remidners and he would make me laugh each and every time...man I miss him!

Les was a blessing as most know. I may be the Godfather of .NET but Les was the Grandfather of .NET. Always gracious, LOVED everyone (wow, what a trait), stern when need be but truly and genuinely wanted to know your story and how you were doing. Who does that?

We all miss him dearly.

PS, check your PMs.

Cheinell I think is how it was spelt, Radish was one that remembered passings and Birthdays, I remember him posting a long tribute to him way back when. It was always cool to see you name pop up in the main thread with his Birthday wishes. That and be driving a parts truck all over and have the time and presence to remember to do it year after year.

I met the Radish in Spokane. We had a meet for a game and the Hawkstorian showed up along with a bunch of us. I met so many I forget them. But one thing that needs to be added is the quest of the Hawk Hat. It MUST be added. I INSIST.

I’ve only been here 11 years…man, I find it fascinating just seeing the little bit mentioned so far on this thread.

Anxious to read all about the history of this place.

By far my favorite online community.

Simply incredible.

It wasn't a figure of speech back in the day lol
Aros always had me on here fridays as the HAPPY FRIDAY thread was probably the most looked at sub forum at the time
I of course have no facts to back up any of it but just a hunch lol
Thing of beauty

I was going to ask if I might merit a line as the prototypical Eeyore - I was doing it way before Jerhawk and the others.

But then again, I have no way of proving I was first myself. ;)

Really looking forward to this. If i remember correctly this was already done to list the change to .net a while back. But I am old and my memory was never my string suit!
