My son and I talked about the need for adjustments at the end of Q1. If they take the deep ball away and their pass rush is working...then run at the holes & edges and go to short throws & screens. That's what I saw happen. Not sure what else you do when their plan is to take an entire part of your normal gamplan away.

We've been saying for a while that teams have been stuffing the box, which has opened up JSN and stifled our run game up the middle. Teams were forcing SD to throw and were routinely beat doing so. Now a team goes to shut down JSN and we successfully adjusted.

4 FG and a TD for offensibe scores
125 rushing yds
17 1st downs
8/15 3rd down conversions (1/1 on 4th)

Not the way we've been accustomed to winning, but we played a team that defended us differently.

Winning in different ways shows strength in a team, not weakness.

There were a number of adjustments in the second half. All of a sudden the plays started having breathing room, first downs were happening, and we started having great success running off the left side in particular, both Charbs and Walker.

First half, though, it felt like the Vikings had everything sniffed out, and that's to be expected. It's late in the season and there's tape on Kubiak.
Totally. I'd go further and claim that the run game was mostly succesful, especially moving into the 2nd quarter. And there was no scoreboard pressure to necessitate doing anything too drastic in terms of adjustments.

The only team on the field that could beat the Seahawks yesterday was the Seahawks.

Isn't that Minnesota summed up though? They were a 12 win team last year. Other than QB most of those pieces are still there.

I do think Seattle made adjustments second half and ran the ball a ton more. They also went super conservative, probably because they knew they could and didn't need to take risks.
They were a 14 win team last year.
