If Geno leaves, then I want Anthony Richardson with our 1st pick. I know he is a boom-or-bust QB, but we have so much talent on the offense that I think he could be great his rookie year.

If Geno leaves, you sign Lock as the starter and take a QB with one of your first two picks.

Geno had an incredible year and is certain to get paid. Ultimately, I’m not sure if him leaving would be the worst thing to happen for this team. We’ve already started, on offense, building from the inside out. Next year would be a great opportunity to start bolstering the D-line and having a rookie QB share a few snaps and learn along the way.

I don’t recall anyone saying Lock was going to come in a dominate but we just took a xXxx # of years backup (in Geno) and turned him into a top 5 to top 8 QB. Is Pete’s system truly a “plug and play” thing? Could Lock have the the same type of year Geno did?

I know what the question is but, just putting it out there that if we sign Geno to anything close to $30 and/or over, PC and JS truly think we can win now. That’s fine by me….I’m trusting their judgement more so now than ever.

But if he goes, definitely gotta snatch one of these rookie QBs. If not this year, then the next. I feel like this is right year to do it though.

Just saying there're plenty of cheap options available, not only Lock.

Lock might not be as cheap of an option as people think.

Plenty of QB needy teams out there to over value a QB like Lock who still has some untapped upside and arm talent to hand 5-10M to compete for a starting job.

Bridgewater got $6M last season, Mariota got $6.75M, and Mayfield was traded for about $6M. Lock isn't in that tier. He's not even in the tier below that tier. Lock will be competing for a back-up job in 2023.

Those were all known commodities on the back end of their careers.

Just saying there's going to be other teams looking at Lock to come in and compete for a starting job, so Hawk fans might be surprised that he's gobbled up after the draft for more than a league minimum backup contract.

btw, that's what Lock will want to. To go somewhere he can compete for a starting job.

No team is looking at Lock as a competitior for their starting QB job. He was only seen as a competitor for the starting job last season because the Seahawks had the #35 and #40 starting QBs going into camp. Lock could massively exceed expectations as Smith did last year, but Smith signed for $3.5M plus incentives. Lock is lower now than Smith was then. It's harsh but a bunch of 2022 rookie QBs have moved ahead of him.

Regardless of what people think, I still believe Lock won the QB competition last year. No doubt Smith had a good year, but if he leaves to TB with the QB coach, so be it, I really don't care. Lock is 5-6 younger anyway and I believe he'll surpass Smith's stats. Lock has an interception issue, but so does Smith and a handful of other QB's in the league.
Dude, I kind of thought Lock did better than what's being said about him. His passes looked sharp and he can't help it if they bounce off people's heads

Too risky. They need to keep all their picks (and get more picks somehow). Why would they focus on offense this draft especially take a QB with their first pick. Build the defense first there is none.
