"Flared up" implies a chronic type injury. Way back when his injury was first reported a sports medicine specialist told me that this type of injury does not occur non contact but old injuries can flare up if he has an arthritic hip. So this is something that can be treated but will never go away. It's probably why the Vikes replaced him to begin with. He is not injury prone or lazy. He simply has a chronic condition and we are his paycheck.

I'm upset but I don't think it is that big of a deal. We played well without him already, we'll do just fine going forward until he comes back.

I can't imagine what it must feel like to be an injured player in the NFL w/ a fan base as fickle as this one.

Pete carroll just says his hip is sore, and they are gonna continue being cautious with him (as we have already known).

Still having a sore hip after having a major surgery and being thrown into an NFL game is not absurd or out of the question. Its reasonable and expected. Worthy of note, carroll doesnt even say that Percy is out. Just says that he is still sore from last game, and that they just have to take it day by day.

People need to get a freakin grip. Or a second hobby. I'm pretty sure that we went 10-1 with close to zero % contribution from Percy. This is a team built to be exactly that..... a T E A M. If our success hinged so heavily on one player then it would be the fault of the FO. But they've built this team with a deep roster. We lose Thurmond, BB. and Percy in a week and everyone is freaking out but forgetting that we've basically won EVERY SINGLE GAME they've been out. Think about it. Thurmond was out all last year and the team is 6-0 without BB. Without Percy? 10-1.

who ever said how will we win another game or make that inference ? I keep reading this thread but I don't see that anywhere strange?

I would make my own post, but it would be too similar to this one.

Good Luck Percy, we will be ready for you when you are good to go.

Moving on..

I remember when the 12th man supported Seahawk players..... Now it's just about being loud at games.

When was that? When we booed Hasselbeck? Booed Alexander? Booed DJack And Engrahm?

All you people calling others bad fans is just stupid.

Killing a player that just got here, has been injured, and is trying to get back is stupid. Get a grip.

Yeah, this is one thing I was thinking about. Why didn't he get things looked at a lot earlier?

Dont give me this holier than thou 12th man bullshit. We want to win, and sorry if a few of us are slightly pissed off the player were spending the most on and traded 3 draft picks for can only manage to play part of one game and 2 weeks later cant play after he and his coach declared him to be back.

Everyone freaking out needs to take a timeout and chill out. If you remember, Harvin's time table for a full recovery was 3 months MINIMUM, so for him to come back after just 3 months it is normal that he would be less than 100%.

I'm guessing Seattle will probably shut down Harvin until the playoffs, but if the doctors say he can play through pain without risking damage, then he'll play sooner than that. IR would surprise me.

Bye week is time off for players. NFL rules. He showed up at practice, wasn't comfortable, so they sent him to a doctor. Can't MMQB this one.

Closer than you think...
We're 10-1 essentially without Harvin. Relax people. Jesus. This place has gone down hill fast in the frayed nerves department. Calm the eff down. We will be fine.
