Way back when his injury was first reported a sports medicine specialist told me that this type of injury does not occur non contact but old injuries can flare up if he has an arthritic hip. So this is something that can be treated but will never go away. It's probably why the Vikes replaced him to begin with. He is not injury prone or lazy. He simply has a chronic condition and we are his paycheck.

Pete carroll just says his hip is sore, and they are gonna continue being cautious with him (as we have already known).

Still having a sore hip after having a major surgery and being thrown into an NFL game is not absurd or out of the question. Its reasonable and expected. Worthy of note, carroll doesnt even say that Percy is out. Just says that he is still sore from last game, and that they just have to take it day by day.

People need to get a freakin grip. Or a second hobby. I'm pretty sure that we went 10-1 with close to zero % contribution from Percy. This is a team built to be exactly that..... a T E A M. If our success hinged so heavily on one player then it would be the fault of the FO. But they've built this team with a deep roster. We lose Thurmond, BB. and Percy in a week and everyone is freaking out but forgetting that we've basically won EVERY SINGLE GAME they've been out. Think about it. Thurmond was out all last year and the team is 6-0 without BB. Without Percy? 10-1.

Everyone freaking out needs to take a timeout and chill out. If you remember, Harvin's time table for a full recovery was 3 months MINIMUM, so for him to come back after just 3 months it is normal that he would be less than 100%.

I'm guessing Seattle will probably shut down Harvin until the playoffs, but if the doctors say he can play through pain without risking damage, then he'll play sooner than that. IR would surprise me.
