I think you’re messing with him here but just in case, let’s just say that Rat knows a little 90’s R&B
I always forget that the only 90s groups you fish-throwing Seattle-ites know are Nirvana and Soundgarden. I've heard the play-out music to every commercial break of the past 30 years.

I don’t care if we lead the NFL in passing attempts or if we lead in the NFL in rushing attempts.

I’m stoked as I feel that Grubb is very dynamic and will ADJUST. I’m not knocking PC… and I don’t have 0.0001% of the football knowledge that man has but, there were many times that I felt we stubbornly stuck to a game plan. Games where the opponents defense made adjustments and we didn’t. Games where we’d get a small lead with several minutes left on the clock and would just drop into a Prevent on D.

A lot of great football and a a lot of infuriating football as well.

I’m sure Grubb will have his moments but, his adjustments at the college level were pretty damn phenomenal. If only for that fact alone, I’m excited.

Hilarious assumption. Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam would like a word. Along with several other bands.

Was such a dumb hire.

I don't want Ryan Grubb.
Ryan Grubb is a guy who can't get no love from me.
I see exactly what you did here and it’s hilarious. Well done.

R+B stuff can be missed unless you’re in tune with old school shit.

I think I'd rather NOT lead the league in either. ;)

I'm looking for a balanced and unpredictable offense.
I just think it's not going to be what people think it is.

If they get that O line healthy and squared away (pass pro),get the run game going.... Geno is going to be very good...

Everybody assumes that because of Grubbs philosophy at Udub that his O is going to be this high flying passing O. Is anybody going to be surprised if they come out running the ball.. Grubb is a O line coach...

LTH
Even if we remain pass heavy, if Grubb (and the new talent on the O-Line) is capable of creating reasonably reliable running plays where we can grab 3 or 4 yards in early downs and 1.5-2 yards in crucial third/fourth situations, that would be amazing.

Am I worried about having an OC who has exactly zero NFL experience under his belt? A little. But my reason for optimism is: We actually weren't a terrible offense last year. (We were top half of the league in scoring percentage, points per drive, yards per drive, and turnovers per drive). We did that as a completely one-dimensional offense with bad offensive line play.

If Grubb is capable of making our O-Line just mediocre and dials up just a handful of effective run plays, I think the league (and more than a couple of posters here) might be surprised to find out how good of an offense we can be.

I loved Grubb in college and I truly think he’s going to be a star and future head coach in the NFL. Watching interviews he just seems to have the “it” factor even though I typically hate that expression. I think k he played to his strengths at Washington with Penix, Odunze etc. but will be more balanced in the NFL. His run concepts do transfer to the next level.
He will be better than Waldron for sure.

He's a very versatile coach and def. can adjust on the fly. Saw it first-hand every game. I won't be surprised at all if we run the crap out of the ball. But you can expect more vertical game from him. Also, a LOT of movement, which confuses defenses.
He also had the best O Line in the country at UW.
Exactly....we won't be high flying, Chuck it deep football if we can't hold up on the oline. That was the major issue last season. If we can't protect Geno, there won't be long developing plays.

Well, MM's entire coaching career has been with run-first teams that control TOP. So, despite Grubb's UW reputation, it seems more likely than not that Seattle's identity will be predicated around the running game. In fact, given our personnel, it would be crazy not to. We probably don't have the offensive line talent to run his UW offense yet.
