When DK had those fumbles in back to back games in week 4 and 5, people on here kept talking like it was some chronic issues he refused to work on. Prior to that week 4 fumble, he was something like one or two weeks short of going two full calendar years without one. I thought his problem with personal fouls was way overstated before. He had just one all this season and hadn't committed a penalty of any sort in ten weeks at the time.

In a time of diva receivers, DK never whines about his role, happily does the small things that don't show up on the stat sheet, and he's unconditionally supportive of his teammates. He clearly cares about winning. He should be much more liked among the fan base than he is.

This fan base loves to create its villains and lay on a bed of thorns for their favorites that's for sure.

Outstanding post.

He has matured. Now he just needs to stop mentally checking out of games. But i have a feeling he will be doing that for someone else next year.
DK is just not IT as a wideout. He would make a great TE though. He needs to loose some muscle, limber up some. I just don't see him as anything but maybe #24 best in the NFL. He doesn't go low for catches, he doesn't high point well, and he takes plays off. I agree with the idea of him going away, hopefully we get good draft capital. Trade K9 too, injury prone, and keep Lockett at a considerably lower price.

I don't want DK to "loose" some muscle. He's also one of the fastest players in the entire NFL. You'd think they would actually know how to use him at some point. IF someone offered a good trade, of course they would at least take a look at it.
I never get tired of seeing posts saying that DK can't do things he flat out can do.

I think if Seattle were to entertain the idea I don’t think they’d go lower than a 1st. Maybe some playoff contender pays that but the pool is small.

Yeah, isn't the point of players slimming down so they get faster? I think DK is good there.

Not that dropping weight this past offseason did Deebo Samuel any good.

I hope he stays. But I would be VERY interested to see how he plays on another team and/or how they use him.

I thought DK played better last year under Sanjay Lal. Sunjay helped DK with more in the way of running sharper cuts and more in the way of some stop and go. Although, in all fairness, DK took a bigger beating this year which no doubt diminished his game day change in inertia.

Never the less, DK continues to command double teams. IMHO, there was a big difference between the games he was available and games he was unavailable. DK was limited to 12 starts and played hurt at times.

DK has plenty of off season to heal up and prepare for a better year in 2025.

DK Metcalf is a Seahawk. And, a continuing headache for Rams, 49ers and Cardinals.

Yup. It only takes one team, but IF someone offered a 1st, jump on it. And it's no secret I'm a DK fan.
If a first is offered no doubt. Just because of his contract. But DK brings a needed element to this team that JSN doesn't. They couldn't be more polar opposites in skill set.
DK is limited in mobility and route running but what he brings does matter and is not easily replicated.

DK is one of those players that is hard to evaluate if you bring the contract into the equation. Yes he is good, yes he has good stats over six years, yes he takes on double teams but does he dominate? Is he a good guy to go to when the game is on the line, does he make contested catches? Did he make the pro bowl in 2025? Is he a top 5 WR in the league? I like DK but I do question if he is worth the cap hit that he will command if we resign him. Personally I don’t think he is worth the money. But what are our options, Lockett is gone, if DK goes then now all of a sudden we need two WRs. Does JNS production go down without DK. You end up over paying because you lack other options. There is just something missing with DK

I agree. DK is just below what you want from a WR to be paying him top tier money but above the level of being someone you can easily replace for cheaper.

I mean, DK is my son's favorite player so I'm officially all-in on keeping for as long as that's the case, but I think a compelling case can be made either way.
