Got a feeling this could be big distraction tonight. Sherman hasn't looked same on d last couple weeks and we all know how quickly things change in this league. That being said, Niners looked good tonight. I hope this isn't a sign of us being 10-3 real soon.

The same things were said last year when Browner was suspended and Sherman was fighting his suspension. There were concerns over whether our secondary would hold up, or whether the distractions would have an effect on such a young team.

And then we went on a 3-game stretch of beatdowns of our opponents.

Don't get too worked up. Sherman has had off games before, and he's been beat before. It happens. But in the last couple of weeks where "Sherman hasn't looked the same," we've won by significant margins. It'll be okay.

As for the Niners looking good against Washington, well, of course they did. Look at the results for the Niners this year. They overwhelm the bad teams (and make no mistake, Washington is a BAD team) and they struggle with and eventually lose to the good teams. We are a good team.

I'm thinking this will be more of a motivational deal, than a distraction deal.

Starting lineup or not, drew Brees will score some points. The whole trick of the game is to score more points than the other team, and I have a lot of confidence that we can hang some points up on the saints d.

But yeah, dont have to shut them out, just have to get the occasional stops. And its not like our replacements are scrubs.

Time to pull up our big boy pants and root this team on. I don't give a crap about Browner and Thurmond anymore, the Saints are coming to town and they want to take what we have. Enough with the Negative Waves.

A distraction from what?
We are a top contender with very few if any veteran leaders. Our team is young and struggling to dispel the notion that they are immature cheats.
I just think that times like this can be disheartening for fans and players alike. If Winfield signs I'm all for it. He's a wise and proven player with great leadership skills who plays the right way even at his ripe ole age. Trying out unproven younger players at this time of the season might not be impactful as signing a wise veteran with good leadership qualities like Winfield.

The "notion" that they are immature CHEATS? !?!?!?

BAHAHAHAHA!

Because WT and BB were trying to get better on defense by smoking weed?

Please...

Who is saying that they are cheating outside of the teams that they are a threat to? Specifically the bay area. While the media loves a story, I just can't equate using experienced backups at a DB position, one that has been filled by backups going on two years now to some major distraction. The goal this season was to win football games and get to the Super Bowl, not "dispel" some notion as you put it.

Young players are on every team, there are leaders in RW, Unger, Mebane, Clemons and Mike Rob.

Hey, go ahead and ride the situation out in demise, it isn't going to change the way the Hawks play. Winning has a way of putting these things to pasture and right now at worse I see the Seahawks winning no less than 3 of their last 5. That is at worse and what I would expect whether or not Walter got busted for pot. Browner? He was gone anyways.

:17: The spectacle of this place (fan base) never ceases to amaze, humor, flabergast... the number of people (not all of course) that, no matter how good things are, how many wins we have, what our record is, how many points we're favored by, how many games in the lead we are, where we're power ranked this week, how many minutes of national coverage we've gotten, how awesome our 5'11" QB is, no matter what positives there are, continue to hover their finger over their self-destruct button, almost as though they're hoping and praying for some kind of inconsiquential bad news so that they can finally mash that sucker down on ANOTHER Seahawks failed season so they finally have some relief from it all and can get back to being the SAME OLD SEAHAWKS FAN that they've always been...Rock-on my brothers.

We're winnin' the Super Bowl. Go Hawks!!

Shut them out and shut the media up would be nice. Don't you think?

Absolutely, I am just not banking on us shutting Drew Brees out.

I'm not either, but we also had a game expected to lose and we shut out Philly 43-0 in a blizzard too.

Is this Seattle or DC? You can't be serious!
Watch the last game. Maxwell and Lane saw a lot of time.

This team is gonna come out pissed.
The offense now has the chance to carry the load.

Monday Night, We're Putting' Up 50!
Stick that in your pipe and smoke it!

It'll be fine, we don't lose at home and our qb is so good he throws game-winning interceptions (too soon?).

SF played Washington...anyone looks good against them.

Furthermore.. in 4 games against teams with a winning record.. they scored 3 touchdowns.

That team is a bigger paper tiger than any in the NFC. I still say they are headed for 9-7.

To my eye, Washington is as bad as Jax, did you see our old buddy Josh wilson last night? If SF thinks we are coming to town and are going to lay over for them, they are going to get demolished.
