I CANNOT overstate how important EJ4 has been for this team. Even Leo said in his press conference that he trusts the guys behind him now. EJ4 and T Knight are allowing the D Line to pin their ears back and it's completely transformed this D and has allowed Mike to "be in his bag" as Spoon said. Pay EJ4 whatever he wants and keep him here for years. Dude is a force and has been the missing cog and leader that we needed. JS can't draft an o-line to save his life but this was a hell of a trade.Ca timesbrightspotcdn

Couldn’t agree more. Been saying it for two weeks now. Getting rid of Dodson and giving Jones IV the green dot has mad a world of difference. Players are in position to make plays. Being in position to start the play is so vital to a good defense. It doesn’t matter what plays the coach calls if the players aren’t in position to execute.

Yeah, I've noticed a huge difference between the team pre-EJ4 and the team post-EJ4. He definitely deserves the bag, and the longer they draw the contract out the more he'll probably demand.

He is incredible. Why did the Rams give him up for so little?

Mcvays Ego? My guess idk. McCVay imo once he doesn’t seem to like someone (doesn’t take much) he discards them regardless.

Is there a pattern of this? Honest question. I'm probably not aware of other examples.

Future cap space…they knew he was going to be worth quite a bit.

They did try an extension and didn’t agree (obviously). So, see how it plays out or try to get something for him, as lowballed it may have seemed.

They chose the latter.

*edit…too tired to correct my poor grammar…you know what I’m saying 😝

This guy is our Roquan! This D has been pretty stingy since he got here. Rams 13 in regulation, 9ers 17 in Santa Clara and 6 to the Cards at home. I love towel on the head on the bench Kyler too!

Robertson-Harris was a big under the radar pick up too.

He is pretty good and it means not playing Adams/Morris as much

It’s knight too but yeah Jones has been a monster. Players also see quicker to react which tells us they’re starting to get the system and understand their assignments.
