IMO the word "hate" is the most misused term in the English language. In my book, hating someone means that I wish that they were dead, and I reserve that sentiment for people that are truly evil, like child rapists and murderers.

If you'll read my comments above, I have some very good reasons for not liking Geno. He's an A-hole.
I wasn't inferring that people who 'hate' him want him dead or that people who 'love' him want to spend the rest of their life with him. I was merely trying to abbreviate an overly long post. Short posts are not my strong point. ;):giggle:

I mean, I ‘like”sam darnold. But that doesn’t translate to spooning with him. Unless that gets us a Super Bowl win. But I’d be the big spoon.

I wasn't necessarily referring to you, but I'm glad you qualified your comments.

IMO 'love' can be used in more situations than 'hate.' You can refer to 'love' in a romantic sense like loving your wife, or you can use it in reference to much more casual situations, like I 'love' working in the garden. 'Hate' is a little more narrowly defined, at least in my book.

It's a bit of a distraction from the thread, but in a venue absent any queues like tone of voice and facial expressions where all we have to rely on is written text, it's important to be concise in our remarks.

And the debate has been so harsh the past couple of years over Geno on both sides that anytime I here "hate" I assume they mean it pretty strongly because that's what we saw on here. The most ardent Geno supporters took it very personal if you weren't a fan of Geno or didn't view him as elite, many still do.

Geno's Raiders (2-13) currently trailing the Giants (2-13) 20-3 in the 3rd quarter. Geno's stat line:

13/17 113yds 0 TD's 1 INT 69 RTG

It's been a tough year for Geno, PC, and the Raiders. The grass was certainly not greener on the other side for him.

I've been watching the game and truly believe the Raiders are tanking for the 1 pick.

They definitely need to draft a QB to rebuild around. I wonder if they have a real preference for either Mendoza or Moore?

I like Mendoza but I know nothing. I liked Flynn over Wilson and started Kitna in a huge fantasy football game. Although I did want Bledsoe over Mirer and knew the 2 pick was fatal.

Geno's Raiders (2-14) lose to the Giants (3-13) 34-10. Geno leaves game in the 4th quarter with an ankle injury after throwing his second INT of the game. Geno stats:

20/28 176yds 1 TD 2 INT's 3 sacks/-24yds 69.9 RTG

This could be Geno's last game of the year, and perhaps last game as a Raider.

They'll draft one of them, start them immediately behind a garbage line, and ruin them.

The Raiders are incredibly crappy. They have no O line. They need help in muitiple positions.

That would be a helluva contribution by him, leading the Raiders to the #1 pick in the draft and the drafting of their QBOTF to replace him.
Beat me to it. I was going to say sucking today and losing to the other 2 win team to help their shot at #1 is probably the best thing he has done for them all year.
