Geno lost me with his behavior during his DUI arrest and later when he essentially called his former coaches racists by implying that he didn't get the PT he thought he deserved due to his race.

I've always disliked the Raiders going back to the 60's, didn't like the fact that gangs had adopted them as their team, never liked Al Davis, etc., so rooting against them comes naturally to me. I feel bad for Pete, but his performance in Vegas is a reminder of why he was run out of his job here in Seattle, reinforces the fact that we made the right decision to let him go.

So yeah, it just shickles the tit out of me when the Raiders lose.

He did that? What a clown. People are free to like whichever players they want but I'm still baffled people defended him so strongly. I have a Russ theory that I think explains it but it doesn't matter now lol.

Geno didn't say it directly as he's not that stupid, but it came up once in an interview where the gap between his starting QB jobs and race amongst starting quarterbacks in the NFL was being discussed and Smith gave a reply, and I'm paraphrasing, "go figure" or something like that which would require connecting the dots, but the message was clear.

Add that into his behavior during his DUI arrest where he told a cop trying to befriend him that he had "little dick syndrome" and I was off the Geno bandwagon.

I went back and found it and you're 100% right.

I don't understand love for Smith but I understand the hate even less. He was never a top 5/elite QB. He had a great half a season when he first got the starting job. He also had a pretty good final season as a starter. (He would have had to play well to reach 4 of the 6 incentive targets). Overall he was a decent starting QB who signed a team-friendly contract in Seattle for less than his market value. The team never improved that contract and they were always open to trading him or finding someone better. In the 2022-25 period he has played 61 of the 63 possible games so kudos for that, but overall he's just a guy. Moving on.

I thought I saw him flipping himself off as he was on his way to check on his injury

IMO the word "hate" is the most misused term in the English language. In my book, hating someone means that I wish that they were dead, and I reserve that sentiment for people that are truly evil, like child rapists and murderers.

If you'll read my comments above, I have some very good reasons for not liking Geno. He's an A-hole.

exactly. No one hates him I just wasn't a fan because of the same reasons Riverdog does.

And this is why I always qualify my hate for the dodgers. I HATE the dodgers. But I don't wish for their team plane to crash and kill them all.

Now if their plane had to emergency land on a deserted island and they had to resort to cannibalism - well that's just bad luck.
