I got two words for the Geno doubters: Gary Kubiak.
John Elway's longtime backup, and Seahawks kryptonite when subbing for an injured Elway. Oh yeah, and eventually, SB-Winning Head Coach.

Now, Geno may be overly optimistic about what level he'll likely get his first OC opportunity, but I think it really just shows that he believes he's put in the work over his career. Based on the 2022 season, he's got a decent case. Maybe he can go be OC for Neon Deion at Colorado; college coaching could be a good starting point, like it is for many.

EDIT: I'm on board with SCH's excellent point that QB coach at some level, college, XFL, Arena, etc., is a most likely first, or 2nd step.

I'd hate to see what Geno's red zone offense would look like because if I had to point to a weakness he has that would be it. Geno was tops in comp percentage but I would guess to bet he was nowhere near the top in red zone efficiency. They were 27th in these rankings - https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/red-zone-scoring-pct.

Even more alarming is they were worse at home than on the road in red zone efficiency.

someone 'please' tell me WTF Geno would talk about trading a 30MM/yr job for a 1MM/yr job?

Anyone?

Makes no Fing sense -

Maybe when he's done - but I've seen him speak - he could be a talking head on fox..... Pay's still better....

I must be missing the point/something ;)

There is that old saying “those that can’t do, teach”.
