Looks like they had to sign Colbert early from the practice squad because another team was going to sign him. Too bad Jennings didn't show enough to keep over Jaron Brown. Hopefully he can clear waivers and sign with the PS.

Colbert is an NFL player who can help the Hawks right now, Jennings is not. 2020 is a stronger WR draft than 2019. I still expect a DE and OT to be priorities over WR.

Exactly. One way to make a mistake worse is to dig in your heels and commit to it. It is already sunk cost, no need to keep him around just because of draft position as they did with Darboh, Norwood and Durham.

Late 2nd / early 3rd seems to be their WR sweet spot - Golden, Lockett, DK

Ummm, Ursua is a 7th rder, not "mid-round." True, he has not shown much, because he hasn't played. We don't really know what the coaches/FO think other than he was kept and Jennings released. Sounds like they prefer Ursua over Jennings. unno:

I don't know that our problems so far can be hung on the WR corps. Given Russ's numbers, I'd have to say that the receivers are catching the balls he throws, or at least most of them. And Lockett, after a slow 1st game has bounced back with two pretty solid games.

Well that was bizarre. I don't get dropping Mone and keeping Jennings at this point. Mone appeared to be an effective run stuffer. Maybe there's still another corresponding move forthcoming.
