With Geno desperately wants one last long term contract and Hawks unlikely to do so. This article listed five teams that could benefit for his service:

Browns, Raiders, Titans, Jets, and, lol, Steelers.

I don't think its that simple. He did an interview stating he feels like he's a top 10 guy and deserves to get paid like one. Seattle likely wants him to play out this year or sign a short extension to lower cap and so that they can bounce after a year or 2 tops.

There is a decent chance Geno holds out this off season if Seattle won't extend him for 45 million or so.

I think we may be in for a crazy off season with Geno. I know I get called a Geno hater but looking at the landscape keeping him next year is probably their best option. He might not be willing though.

I'm also not sure any of those teams are going to pay him much more though either.

A carroll and Geno reunion in Oakland would be funny though. I don't think he gets that job but if he did I could see him pushing for Geno.

Geno is under contract for 2025. Why would they release him? If team management wants to move on from him they could get something in trade for him. A 4th or maybe a 3rd could conceivably be gotten for him. Like him or not, he’s easily better than half of the starting QBs in 2024. At this point, he’s too valuable to release, and has some trade value.

100%, my thought exactly, although Pete may have the luxury of picking Geno or Russ.

If any team comes knocking on our door to trade Geno, Schneider may be in a corner. Geno will force Schneider's hands on either a long-term contract or a trade. We know Geno's priority, long-term contract above all else, he even saved his body for that contract.

I don't give crap what people about Smith. Dude is not worth anything near 45mil per year, he just not. I don't even think Smith is an average QB. I am a Smith hater. I think the dude is garbage. We can do better.

If he wants top 10 money - let him test the market.

There isn't much out there better than Geno that we can grab - so I don't mind a reasonably priced - one or two year deal.

But 45-50M a year for a couple years........nope.
