I trust our offensive POTENTIAL. I do not trust our offense on a game to game basis.
Our offensive line is downright awful. This makes it very hard to trust our offense in a big game since everything revolves around them.
I don't think we can be too hopeful that Harvin will have a big impact since Bevell has such illogical, inconsistent, and predictable play calls in the majority of his games. I do personally think Harvin will have a nice impact, but I don't logically think we can count on it with his limited play this season and Bevell as our OC.
My biggest fear is seeing another game like our last 49ers game this year, and our Falcons playoff loss last year. A game where we try to force the run excessively and can't get it going all game, never adjusting the plays to exploit our opponents defensive weaknesses.
So in short I am not confident that Bevell will call a good game, and I am not confident that our offensive line will perform to even a below average level as a whole. Meaning I would not be surprised to see our Rushing game fail and RW being under insane pressure all game.
I would also not be surprised to see us have uncharacteristic fumbles or interceptions on offense.
And I expect we will be heavily penalized the entire game and that could play a big roll to keep the Saints within striking distance or even with scoring leads.
I just really don't trust Bevell as OC, seeing what happened in our games last year in the playoffs it's pretty bad. Also our offense has gotten worst in the majority of statistical categories this season compared to last. Bevell is just not good in important games from what I've seen.
Even with all that being said, I still feel VERY confident we will beat the Saints
I think Russel Wilson will play extremely well and ensure this victory even if all my other fears are correct.
So in summary our offense is capable to absolutely wreck people and rack up tons of points with their talent, but I am not confident they will do so. I am more confident they will be mediocre or poor but I still feel we are at least slight Super Bowl favorites.
I'm much more concerned about playing the 49ers than the Saints. Carolina would be a little scary but I think 49ers are by far the worst. And then of course the East Coast horrible weather Super Bowl game is probably just as dangerous as the 49ers regardless who gets there in the AFC since I have a bad feeling refs will ruin the game again like 2005.
I still feel like this is our year and we SHOULD win the Super Bowl. I don't think we'll get a better chance than this, and if we lose it's entirely our fault with failed coaching or player execution. To me our talent to win the Super Bowl is undeniable compared to the other teams this season.
I just can't sugarcoat my feelings about our team, I tell it like it is in my mind even if I don't like to hear it haha. So I feel very confident we'll still win despite my criticisms above.
Also Drew Brees looked pretty bad to me in the Eagles game so if he plays like that again they might as well just throw in the towel. If we lose to the Saints that would be laughable and we have no business winning Super Bowl if we can't even get past them at home.
