Really good guy. Wanted to buy .NET at one time but didn’t work out. I think he would have been a great owner. He bought my ticket to the Chargers game (the infamous heat wave game in San Diego) and let me stay with him, basically funding the entire trip.

Highly intelligent, an understated personality and a true blue fan of both .NET and the Hawks. We had some great convos over UFOs, lol.

He ended up on another site to my disappointment but he’s a great guy who I admire tremendously.
That other site failed, I think he's just done with message boards now.

If memory serves it was Doug that offered up the “Retreat!! Retreat!!” napkin. Holy hell that was hilarious.

Barthawk is still around but rarely posts anymore. He sold his season tickets this past year like I did. Sadly, Cheinhill passed many years ago. He was a gentle Soul who didn't say much but when he posted, you listened.

Holy shizballs did I see @Fuddhawk like my post? As in....FUDDHAWK is still among us!?!?!

That’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time. He is how I found this place. I was scrolling the internet and he posted a link to the Seahawks board at the AFC West Warzone and that board is how I found seabawks98.com. The rest is history

Been lurking, and posting a couple of times every three years or so, since Seahawks98 days. I was born in NJ but moved to Marysville in 79, when I was 6. Became a fan in 1981. Family moved to Bethlehem/Allentown PA in 85 but I retained my loyalty while living in Eagles country (I hate them violently). After college graduation in 96 I moved back to Seattle and had season tix in 96 and 97 at the dome. While there I met a guy from near my old home in PA. He moved there just for the 97 season. He and I both moved back east in early 98 and this became my source for team news that I couldn’t get anywhere else. I Followed this site through all the changes but never became a frequent commenter. I watched practically every game for the next 20 years with that guy I met in 97. We would go back every couple of years for a game, and made it to one of the early events at Temple. He passed 6 years ago and I haven’t been back for a game since, but do catch them on the east coast occasionally. I live in Atlanta now and am going to the falcons game in a few weeks with my son.

Somehow almost 30 years have floated by.

Not sure I could pin down a date. Was it .net before Scout or afterwards? Not sure if I remember the move to Scout or away from it, but that is about the time my b.s. started here.

Don't remember an exact date either, sometime after Y2K I think. Remember Doug Farrar as a regular poster prior to his jump to national media. Remember the kindness of Les. And weirdly enough, remember almost taking legal consultation from a guy in a smoking jacket. Wait, no that wasn't me...but that was one of the more bizarre situations on the board for a while there.

I found the .net in 2004ish under a different username. I forget what it was. After the 2005 Super Bowl I took a break for a while. I wasn’t a big poster in those early years. And I wish I could remember my old username.

I remember AustinSlater, in the old PWR forum, somehow
he always got under my skin.
It wasn't personal, I was new and had to learn on the fly.
I don't know if he's among us or not but that's one of the
first members I recall.

Been around since the first Superbowl against the Steelers, under a different name which was Hawkssoar. Stayed on this board until 2012, when life changed. Was living in Langley, BC and made it down to a bunch of games and met a lot of folks at Temple Billiards.

Moved to Las Vegas in 2012 after my divorce, frequented Scooters Pub which is a Seahawks bar in Vegas. Ever get the chance if your in Vegas...go to it. Sherman's mom signed a picture and it is on the wall. Just tell the cab or Uber Scooters Pub, off the 215 and Rainbow.

Moved to my current home in Prescott, Arizona in 2021. Just resigned back up and I am back.

Most fondest memory was all the Steeler trolls and how Todd loved Queensreich!

I am an original 98'er (Jcrew2 then) and I still lurk almost daily. It was fun reading these old names, brings back memories. What about Steve? I think he was the most antagonistic guy back in those days.
