i harped on it during the game a little too, but the offense really has struggled to run their pass offense outside of wilson improv
Have heard both Greg Cosell and Mike Holmgren mention that Seattle's pass offense has 'basic route concepts' and is predictable.
Seattle's deep play-action game seems pretty invisible - teams have schemed it into obscurity. Gotta figure out the intermediate stuff
how many times have we seen Russell roll out on a bootleg & then just keep running & running & running. Nothing opening up- teams scheming
obviously, still 5-1 & things are going well. But just looking at some things longer-term. Some of that stuff should need to get cleaned up
There was a flurry in there in the 2nd half, I think, where Wilson hit on a few quick intermediate passes in the middle of the field
Couple to Baldwin and Kearse. Those are the things that we need to see the offense start getting more frequently, I think

Danny knows his stuff like nobody else in the Seahawks blogosphere. It's a good reminder that Wilson scrambling is really a failure by the overall offense and not ideal, especially when it's bringing you 80% of your team's third downs as it did today. Wilson can get his bell rung on a scramble the same as any QB. Harvin may not necessarily be a quick fix if Bevell can't utilize him well.
Bevell is really greedy. Maybe it's really Pete, as a lot of these tendencies were here under Bates as well, but it's greedy. The passing offense is decidedly unbalanced in favor of deep routes. We have seen some quick options in there, there's really no other alternative given the poor pass pro, but proportionally very little intermediate.
